Abstract: Described is pooling baseband units into a hub and mapping radio units associated with the hub to baseband units of the group based on respective resource capacity data of the respective baseband units and an estimated resource usage data of a device that couples to a baseband unit. In one alternative, estimated peak resource usage data of a radio unit over an operation interval is used to select a baseband unit, generally based on which baseband unit of the pool has the least remaining resource capacity, to which the radio unit is mapped for the operation interval. In another alterative, estimated peak resource usage data resource (usage and duration) of a user equipment session is used to dynamically map the user equipment session to a baseband unit, generally selected by which baseband unit of the pool has the least remaining resource capacity.

Abstract: Adjusting a network path between a user equipment and a network edge cloud instance is disclosed. The adjustment of the network path can be based on performance of the network path. The performance of the network path can be ranked, based on performance, against other network paths. In an embodiment, the other network paths can be between the user equipment and the network edge cloud instance. Additionally, the other network paths can be between the user equipment and another network edge cloud instance that can be located remotely from the network edge cloud instance. In an embodiment, a recommendation can be provided to a cloud service provider to enable the cloud service provider to adjust a characteristic of an application or service performed by a network edge cloud instance. The disclosed subject matter can provide advantages over conventional cloud instances that are typically supported on a device located distant from a network device operated by a network provider.

A method can include extracting features of sensor data captured by a sensor associated with a vehicle, wherein the sensor data is representative of a subject selected from a group of subjects comprising an occupant of the vehicle and an environment in which the vehicle is located, resulting in extracted features. The method can further include determining sentiment data representative of an emotional condition of the occupant of the vehicle based on an analysis of the extracted features, and generating a navigation route for the vehicle from an origin point to a destination point based on the sentiment data.
