摘要: Composite filter media is formed from multiple layers of media material including a nanofiber media layer, where the layers are laminated, bound, or otherwise composited to each other. The composite filter media can comprise at least one nanofiber layer comprising polymeric media material having a geometric mean fiber diameter of about 100 nm to 1 μm, and fibers configured in a gradient such that ratio of the geometric mean diameter of fibers at the upstream face of the nanofiber layer to the geometric mean diameter of fibers at the downstream face of the nanofiber layer is about 1.1 to 2.8, preferably about 1.2 to 2.4.

摘要: The application generally relates to digital Engine Integrity Protection (EIP) systems for filters for internal combustion engines and methods of using the digital EIP systems. A pre-programmed digital chip is integrated in filtration hardware such that the Engine Control Unit (ECU) or another controller installed on the engine or vehicle can read encrypted digital signal from the chip when electrically connected with the filter hardware. Based on the read information from the chip, the ECU or controller can determine whether the filter associated with the chip is a genuine filter or a non-genuine filter.

摘要: An axial flow air filter system is described. The system includes an axial flow filter element having a filter media. The filter media includes an inlet face and an outlet face, the inlet face spaced apart from the outlet face. The axial flow filter element includes an upper support ring adjacent to the inlet face of the filter media. The upper support ring circumscribes the filter media and supports an upper seal. The upper seal forms a seal with a housing when the filter element is received in the housing. The axial flow filter element further includes a lower support ring adjacent to the outlet face of the filter media. The lower support ring circumscribes the filter media. In some arrangements, the lower support ring does not include a seal.

摘要: A gas-liquid separator comprises a housing having an inlet for receiving a gas-liquid stream and an outlet for discharging a gas stream. An impactor nozzle structure is supported by the housing and situated downstream of the inlet. The impactor nozzle structure receives the gas-liquid stream and accelerates the gas-liquid stream through an orifice that extends through the impactor nozzle structure. An impaction surface is supported by the housing and situated downstream of the orifice. The impaction surface receives the accelerated gas-liquid stream and causes separation of liquid particles from the gas-liquid stream so as to produce the gas stream, and a baffle situated downstream of the impaction surface modifies a flow of the gas stream so as to reduce carryover of liquid particles in the gas stream. A shroud tier an inertial impactor gas-liquid separator is disclosed. A method for separating liquid particles from a gas-liquid stream is disclosed.

摘要: A fuel filtration system configured to separate water from fuel is described. The system includes a housing having an inlet for receiving fuel to be filtered, an outlet for supplying filtered fuel to a device, and an internal compartment having a drain. A filter media is positioned within the internal compartment of the housing, the filter media configured to separate the water from the fuel, the separated water routed out of the internal compartment through the drain. A solenoid valve is configured to provide both the separated water and fuel to an exhaust after-treatment device in fluid communication with the fuel filtration system.
