摘要: As routers (15) are added to an existing network (41), links serviced by such routers that lack a pre-existing corresponding address prefix may occur. The router (15) can contact a prefix server (14) and engage in a process to automatically receive a new address prefix from the prefix server (14) to use with such links. In one embodiment, the prefix server (14) can automatically assign such address prefixes to form or maintain an aggregation of routes to facilitate the efficient operation of routers within the network and overall network growth.

摘要: An apparatus and method thereof for processing base band signals to reduce peak power requirements for a multi-channel transmitter is disclosed. The apparatus includes a first Fourier Transform Matrix (FTM) coupled to one or more input signals for providing a plurality of output signals each comprising a combination of phase shifted versions of the input signals; a processing unit for limiting a peak value for each of the output signals to provide a plurality of peak limited output signals, and a second FTM for decomposing the peak limited output signals to provide one or more output base band signals suitable for generating one or more low level signals for driving the multi-channel transmitter, each of the output base band signals corresponding to one of the input signals. A multi-channel transmitter further converts the output base band signals to a radio frequency signals; a first analog FTM provides a plurality of amplifier input signals; a power amplifier having a plurality of amplifiers provides a plurality of amplified output signals; and a second analog FTM coupled to the amplified output signals provides transmit signals corresponding one to one with the output base band signals.

摘要: A datastream of bits (which may itself be comprised of a plurality of datastreams as derived from a plurality of sources) are coded (21) and then interleaved (12) across a plurality of transmitters (25 and 26) and a plurality of subcarriers (27) as supported and shared by the transmitters. If desired, the bits can be mapped to corresponding symbols prior to transmission. The resultant information is transmitted simultaneously by the transmitters using the shared channel of subcarriers. Upon reception, the received signals are de-interleaved and decoded to recover the original datastream for each sources.

摘要: An assay is provided for nucleic acids that can be post-synthetically labeled, wherein modified nucleoside triphosphates are used that are more efficiently and specifically incorporated during nucleic acid synthesis than labeled nucleoside triphosphates. In a preferred embodiment, nucleoside null-thiotriphosphates are utilized. Maleimide or iodoacetamide conjugating moieties can be attached post-synthetically. The conjugating moieties may include a reporter group. Also disclosed are new methods for detecting single nucleotide polymorphism.
