摘要： Embodiments of the invention provide a tool for performing asynchronous upgrades of data stored in computer databases. In one embodiment, an upgrade tool may be configured to split existing data records into data blocks. Each data block may be queued in an asynchronous queue. When processing capacity is available, the data block may undergo an upgrade operation, and another data block may be added to the queue. Once all data blocks are upgraded, the upgraded data records may be used by applications accessing the database. In one embodiment, different types of upgrade operations may be performed on the data records.

摘要： Systems and techniques of the management of the allocation of a plurality of memory elements stored within a plurality of lockless list structures are presented. These lockless list structures (such as Slists) may be made accessible within an operating system environment of a multicore processor—and may be partitioned within the system. Memory elements may also be partitioned among these lockless list structures. When a core processor (or other processing element) makes a request for allocating a memory element to itself, the system and/or method may search among the lockless list structures for an available memory element. When a suitable and/or available memory element is found, the system may allocate the available memory element to requesting core processor. Dynamically balancing of memory elements may occur according to a suitable balancing metric, such as maintain substantial numerical equality of memory elements or avoid over-allocation of resources.

摘要： A power module assembly for being mounted to headgear is provided. The power module assembly can include a housing member and a cover member configured to mount thereto. The housing member and cover member can have a generally curved profile configured for fitting against a user's head. The housing member can be generally rigid, and the cover member generally flexible and resilient, so that the cover member can mount to the housing member with a snap fit connection therebetween. The housing member can further include a plurality of handles, so that straps of the headgear can extend through openings between the handles corresponding surfaces of the housing member to secure the power module assemble to the headgear.

摘要： Lighted eyewear is described that projects light forwardly thereof. The eyewear includes a cross frame portion with temple arm portions extending rearwardly therefrom. Light mounts at forward portions of the temple arm portions include a forward opening and an interior space. Light emitting diodes are received in the interior space of the temple arm light mounts are mounted to project light through the forward openings thereof to a position forwardly of the cross-frame portion. A mounting surface of each light mount orients the light emitting diodes at a predetermined inwardly canted angle relative to normal from the lateral axis of the cross frame portion with the temple arm portions extending rearwardly from the cross frame portion.

The camera includes a lens mounted to the brim portion and control circuitry for operating the camera mounted to the brim portion at least partially between upper and lower major surfaces thereof. In alternate forms, a heat sink can be mounted to the brim portion to dissipate heat generated by powered components of the headgear, such as the camera, a circuit board, a light source, or the like, and a rotary switch can be mounted to the brim portion for energizing the a light source and/or operating the camera.
