Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for vehicle navigation. In one implementation, at least one processor may receive, from a camera, at least one captured image representative of features in an environment of the vehicle. The processor may identify an intersection and a pedestrian in a vicinity of the intersection represented in the image. The processor may determine a navigational action for the vehicle relative to the intersection based on routing information for the vehicle; and determine a predicted path for the vehicle relative to the intersection based on the determined navigational action and a predicted path for the pedestrian based on analysis of the image. The processor may further determine whether the vehicle is projected to collide with the pedestrian based on the projected paths; and, in response, cause a system associated with the vehicle to implement a collision mitigation action.

Abstract: A method for neural network processing, the method may include applying, by a neural network processor, a group of neural network kernels of respective layers of a neural network to provide neural network output results. The applying may include scanning the 2D layer input values with the 2D kernel. The scanning may include flattening the 2D kernel, flattening the 2D layer input values, and storing first layer output values in a 3D memory unit. The applying may also include applying a 3D kernel of the group of kernels, on 3D layer input values of a second layer of the neural network to provide second layer output values, wherein the applying comprises scanning at least one feature vector of the 3D layer input values with at least one vector of the 3D kernel.

The at least one processing device may also be programmed to determine a distance from the host vehicle to the object based on at least the elevation information. The at least one processing device may further be programmed to determine a navigational action for the host vehicle based on the determined distance.

A navigation system may receive data relating to a road section from a vehicle. The system may assemble navigation information relative to a first portion and relative to a second portion of the road section. The first and second portions may be spatially separated by a third portion. The system may transmit the navigation information relating to the first and second portions and forego transmitting information relating to the third portion. A server may receive the transmitted navigation information and assemble an autonomous vehicle road navigation model. The server may transmit the navigation model to one or more vehicles for use in autonomous navigation.
