A composition having a bismaleimide oligomer and preparation methods thereof are provided. The composition having a bismaleimide oligomer comprises a bismaleimide oligomer, wherein the bismaleimide oligomer is in an amount of more than 75 parts by weight, based on 100 parts by weight of the composition. Specifically, the bismaleimide oligomer is prepared by reacting bismaleimide monomers with batch-added barbituric acid.
Abstract:
Proton exchange membrane compositions having high proton conductivity are provided. The proton exchange membrane composition includes a hyper-branched polymer, wherein the hyper-branched polymer has a DB (degree of branching) of more than 0.5. A polymer with high ion conductivity is distributed uniformly over the hyper-branched polymer, wherein the hyper-branched polymer has a weight ratio equal to or more than 5 wt %, based on the solid content of the proton exchange membrane composition.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a gel electrolyte for a photosensitive dye and method for manufacturing the same. First, bismaleimide and barbituric acid are dissolved in Brönsted base solution to form a gelling additive. Subsequently, the gelling additive is added into an ionic liquid electrolyte. The liquid electrolyte is then gelled at room temperature to form a gel electrolyte for the photosensitive dye utilized in dye sensitized solar cells. In addition, barbituric acid is further added into the gelling additive to enhance the gelling rate of the ionic liquid electrolyte.

The invention provides hyper-branched polymer manufactured by adding a bismaleimide and a barbituric acid into a Brönsted base solution and reacting the mixture at 20 to 100° C. The formation may further include maleimide monomer and/or multi-maleimide monomer to modify the hyper-branched polymer properties. In addition, the barbituric acid is added to the reaction in a batch not initially charged with other reactants in a one-pot.

A flame retarding polymer electrolyte composition containing maleimides includes a modified maleimide; a lithium salt; and at least one ionic solution in a ratio of at least 2 wt % relative to the total weight of the composition. By using the hyperbranched dendrimer-like structure of the modified maleimide as grafted skeleton for polymer electrolytes, the electrolyte composition can encapsulate an electrolytic solution continuously, thus preventing the exudation of the electrolytic solution and increasing the stability of lithium ionic conduction. Since the ionic solution is nonflammable, the safety of batteries are further enhanced when the polymer electrolyte composition is used as polymer electrolyte for a lithium secondary battery.

A battery electrode paste composition containing modified maleimide(s) is provided, which has an electrode active material, a conductive additive, a binder and modified maleimide(s) as dispersant. The modified maleimide as the dispersant in the battery electrode paste composition has dendrimer-like hyperbranched structures, which can form a stable complex with the electrode active material. Therefore, owing to the excellent compatibility of the modified maleimide with the solvent in the electrode paste, the storage stability of the paste is increased. Furthermore, through formation of stable bonding between the modified maleimide and the current-collecting metal substrate, the adhesive force between the electrode film and the current-collecting metal substrate is enhanced and the cycling life of the battery product is extended.

An interleaving striped capacitor substrate structure for pressing-type print circuit boards is disclosed. To meet the high-frequency, high-speed, and high-density requirements in modern electronic systems, the interleaving striped capacitor substrate structure uses several dielectric materials of different dielectric coefficients to make a dielectric layer. One dielectric layer can be stacked on another to form a multi-layered capacitor substrate so that a single capacitor substrate can provide the highest capacitance required for the decoupling capacitor to suppress high-frequency noise signals, and the lower dielectric coefficient substrate required for high-speed signal transmission. This simultaneously achieves the effects of reducing high-frequency transmission time and suppressing high-frequency noise.

An improved polyimide-based coating composition comprising a polyimide upper layer and a polyimide-modified bismaleimide lower layer for use as a coating on metal substrate, such as an electrolytic copper foil. The polyimide are prepared from reactions between diamines, such as p-phenylene diamine and 4-4'-diaminodiphenyl ether, and dianhydrides, such as 3,3',4,4'-benzophenone tetracarboxylic dianhydride and biphenyl-3,3',4,4'-tetracarboxylic dianhydride. The modified bismaleimide can be prepared from reacting an N,N',4,4'-diphenyl bismaleimide with a barbituric acid or its derivative. A double-layered extrusion coating technique having a double-layered extrusion die is utilized to apply the coating composition onto the metal substrate. The final laminated products show improved peel strength between the polyimide coating and the substrate, as well as improved dimensional stability and surface flatness thereof.
