摘要： A plasma display panel comprises a front substrate and a rear substrate, a plurality of row electrode pairs provided on the inner surface of the front substrate, a dielectric layer provided on the inner surface of the front substrate for coverring the row electrode pairs, a plurality of column electrodes provided on the inner surface of the rear substrate, a partition wall assembly provided between the front substrate and the rear substrate, said partition wall assembly including a plurality of longitudinal partition walls and a plurality of lateral partition walls, forming a plurality of discharge cells. In particular, the dielectric layer has a plurality of projection portions located corresponding to and protruding toward the lateral partition walls of the partition wall assembly, in a manner such that there would be no slots formed between the dielectric layer and the lateral partition walls.

摘要： A liquid crystal display apparatus having a diffusion plate and/or a prism sheet disposed between a liquid crystal display device and a plurality of light emission portions. Each light emission portion is constituted by an optical guide and one or more light emitting devices. The optical guide has a light reflection surface formed in a substrate and a light transmission surface brought into tight contact with the light reflection surface. The light emitting devices are integrated with the optical guide. Then, the light reflection surface is a scatter reflection surface, and an average angle between the light reflection surface and the light transmission surface is set to range from 7° to 23°. Thus, obtained is a thin-type liquid crystal display apparatus high in luminance of light outgoing to the front surface of the display apparatus and superior in uniformity of outgoing angle distribution or luminance distribution.

The disc drive apparatus according to the present invention comprises: a turntable 22 which holds an optical disc 2; a spindle motor which rotatively drives the turntable 22; an optical pick-up 20 which writes/reads signals on or from the optical disc 2; guide shafts 42a and 42b which slidably supports the optical pick-up 20 in the radial direction of the optical disc 2, and a base 15 to which a spindle motor 23 and both end portions of each of the guide shafts 42a and 42b, wherein the spindle motor 23 is attached to the base 15 through a spacer member 28 which performs positioning of the turntable 22 in the vertical direction thereof relative to the base 15.

Copolymer (a) and monomers (b) are reacted in specified proportions in a single stage to make the claimed water-dispersible acrylic graft copolymer which has an acid number of 10 to 30 mg KOH/g, a hydroxyl group number of 50 to 150 mg KOH/g, a glass transition temperature of -20 to +50.degree. C. and a number-average molecular weight of 10,000-100,000 by grafting side chains formed from the aforementioned (b) to a main chain from the aforementioned (a), and this graft copolymer is dispersed in an aqueous medium to obtain the claimed water-based paint.

摘要： An optical disc has a recording film with information recorded thereon, and a photochromic material film provided adjacent the recording film. The photochromic material film is made of a photochromic material. The photochromic material has a first state irradiated with reading light having a first wavelength. In the first state, the transmittance of the material is increased so as to enable reading of the recorded information. The photochromic material further has a second state irradiated with auxiliary light having a second wavelength, where the transmittance becomes low so as to disable the reading of the recorded information.
