摘要: This invention provides an optical component free from weld formation in its optical surface and having an excellent optical performance, a method of molding an optical component, and a mold for molding an optical component. For this purpose, an optical component as a plastic molded product having an optical function, is formed with a molding surface with a shape of a curved surface, and a flange portion between the molding surface and a gate portion. At least part of a surface constituting the flange portion is molded by injecting a molten resin along a wall surface that forms an angular difference of 15.degree. or less which is substantially equal to a tangential angle to the curvature of the curved surface of the molding surface, which is near the flange portion.

摘要: A system for performing high efficiency coding of an image signal includes a differential signal generating section, a processing section, a supply section, a coefficient train outputting section, and a code assigning section. The differential signal generating section generates a differential image signal between a current image signal inputted thereto and a prediction image signal inputted thereto for the current image signal with respect to a target block. The current image signal and the differential image signal each include a plurality of blocks and the target block is one of the plurality of blocks. The processing section executes processing of a one-dimensional orthogonal transform and a quantization for an inputted objective image signal, with respect to the target block, to generate the processing result as quantization coefficients. The supply section supplies the processing section with the differential image signal as the objective image signal with respect to the target block. The coefficient train outputting section generates a quantization coefficient train from the quantization coefficients. The code assigning section assigns a code to each quantization coefficient of the train to generate a transmission signal.

摘要: A continuous granulator includes a granulator body for continuously processing powdered materials into granules, and a screw conveyor for discharging the produced granules from the granulator body, the screw conveyor including a pneumatic classifier for separating or classifying the produced granules while they are being conveyed. The pneumatic classifier includes a porous lower portion of the screw conveyor which permits passage of streams of pressurized air therethough into the interior of the screw conveyor. With this construction, discharging conveyance of the produced granules and classification of the produced granules can be carried out concurrently at the same station and hence the granules of a uniform grain size can be produced at an increased rate.
