    摘要: A fixation plate includes a set of threaded peg holes adapted to individually receive fixation pegs therethrough and non-threaded alignment holes having a relatively smaller diameter than the peg holes and preferably sized to closely receive a K-wire. The alignment holes are located between the peg holes. One peg hole is configured for aligning the plate during an osteotomy procedure, while other peg holes are configured for use after fracture reduction and receive K-wires to temporarily secure the plate to the bone and determine whether pegs inserted through adjacent respective peg holes will be properly located before drilling relatively larger holes for such pegs.

    摘要: The system includes an elongate intramedullary nail which is rigidly fixed under compression to the endosteal surface of a bone with unicortical locking machine screws inserted through the bone and into a plurality of longitudinally displaced threaded holes in the nail. A jig is provided for drilling holes through the bone in alignment with the screw holes in the nail. The nail and jig each include anti-rotation structure at which the nail and jig can be coupled together in a fixed alignment. A method is also provided for implanting an intramedullary nail on two sides of a bone fracture, and clamping the bone with sufficient force to immobolize the fracture by forcing the implant against an endosteal surface of the bone and applying a compressive force against the outer surface of the bone.

    摘要: A volar plate includes a head portion with two sets of pegs. The first set of the pegs is substantially linearly arranged and the axes of the pegs are preferably oblique relative to each other, and are preferably angled relative to each other in two dimensions. The second set of pegs is provided relatively distal of the first set through a buttress of the head portion of the plate. The second set of pegs is preferably angled relative to the plate such that the pegs are oriented substantially perpendicular to the body of the plate and extend between the pegs of the first set. The first set of pegs provides support for subchondral bone fragments, while the second set of pegs provides support behind the articular bone surface.

    摘要: A dorsal fracture is treated from the volar side by using a T-shaped plate opposite the fracture. The plate is positioned against the volar side of the radial bone, a plurality of bone screws secure the plate along a non-fractured portion of the radial bone, and a plurality of bone pegs extend from the plate and into the bone fragments of the fracture. A support portion of the plate is provided distal of the bone pegs and supports comminuted bone fragments. One or more channels are optionally provided in the plate to receive wires which are adapted to anchor distal bone fragments to the plate. The plate is adapted in strength and materials to withstand the large bending forces thereon.
