Abstract:
A method quickly resuming a downlink service in a hard handover in a cellular mobile communication system. To provide the fast downlink service to an MS during a hard handover from an OBS to an NBS, the NBS receives handover user information from the OBS, and generates an MS temporary ID using the handover user information to identify the MS. If user data is generated for the MS before a connection is established for traffic transmission between the MS and the NBS, the NBS transmits the user data to the MS on an HCCH using the MS temporary ID.
Abstract:
There are disclosed racemic or enantiomerically enriched 3- or 4-substituted piperidine compounds represented by the following structural formula (I) or any of their isomers, or pharmaceutically acceptable salts thereof. Also disclosed are pharmaceutical compositions containing the subject compounds. The subject compounds are useful for the treatment of diseases of the central nervous system, particularly depression, anxiety and pain disorder
Abstract:
This invention relates to a composition for the prevention and treatment of acute graft-versus-host disease comprising prodigiosin isolated from Serratia marcescence B-1231 KCTC 0386BP, as an effective ingredient. The prodigiosin is immunosup-pressive by selectively suppressing the proliferation of T-cells through the suppression of the expression of IL-2 receptors, which is needed for the activation of T-cells. Prodigiosin can be used either alone or in conjunction with cyclosporin A for greater effect, since the two substances have different mode of actions. These make prodigiosin effective for the prevention and treatment of acute graft-versus-host disease.
Abstract:
Provided are an ARQ apparatus and method for a multihop system in a broadband wireless access communication system. The ARQ method of a relay includes determining if the relay successfully receives specific data from a source and transmitting the specific data to a destination; receiving feedback data from the destination and determining if the destination successfully receives the specific data; generating feedback data including data indicating if the relay and the destination successfully receive the specific data, and outputting the feedback data to the source; and retransmitting the specific data, when the relay successfully receives the specific data but the destination fails to receive the specific data. Accordingly, when the MH-BTS successfully receives the data from the source but the destination fails to receive the data, the source does not retransmit same data to the MH-BTS.
Abstract:
An HARQ method for guaranteeing a QoS in a wireless communication system is provided. In a transmitting apparatus using a HARQ for transmitting packet data in a wireless communication system, a retransmission controller determines the size of redundancy information for correcting transmission errors in packet data, and a transmitter transmits the redundancy information of the determined size upon request for a retransmission of the packet data. Transmission of redundancy information of a variable size at each retransmission satisfies the QoS required for each user, maximizes a data throughput, and allows for the efficient reception of an ACK or a NACK for the redundancy information.
Abstract:
An intake manifold (10) includes a fuel rail cavity (30) which receives a metallic fuel rail (14) enclosed by a molded fuel rail cavity cover (32). The fuel rail (14) communicates with each of a plurality of engine cylinders (16) through a fuel module (18). An injector cup (28) fits upon each module cylinder to provide an interface between the fuel module and the fuel rail. Another intake manifold (10) includes a fuel rail (14) which directly interfaces with each fuel module (18) through a bellows (38) attached directly thereto.
Abstract:
Steel fuel rails are provided with the mechanical components of a plurality of fuel injector valve bodies. The electronics for operating those valves are molded into an injector pack. The valve bodies are inserted into the passages associated with the injector pack such that the electronics are part of a single molded plastic portion. A corrugated seal is sealed to an outer portion of the passage on the injector pack. Thus, the present invention eliminates the number of connections for supplying fuel that needed to be sealed in the prior art. Further, the number of required assembly steps is reduced over the prior art.
Abstract:
A gasoline direct injection engine is provided with a bypass air supply line. The bypass line is selectively opened to allow additional flow of air into the engine chamber during a transition phase. Air normally flows through a main air supply line through a plenum. However, during a transition from a low air volume early injection phase to a relatively high air volume late injection phase the valve is opened to provide additional flow through the bypass. In this way, the air can be more quickly delivered to the engine chamber.
Abstract:
A wafer conveyor system and controlling method therefor sends/receives a semiconductor wafer to/from a designated place includes a stocker for storing and delivering a package box with a plurality of wafers therein, a transferring path for connecting one stocker with another stocker, a carrier traveling along the transferring path for transporting the package box between the stockers, an automatic charging device placed to any one position of the transferring path for charging a battery loaded onto the carrier traveling along the transferring path when the battery is discharged, and a central control unit for controlling the driving of the stocker, transferring path, carrier and automatic charging device.
Abstract:
The composition based on a discharge from an oil refining plant after a desulfurization of heavy oils in the oil refining plant using a catalyst, comprising: 80% or less of vanadium; 80% or less of molybdenum; 20% or less of nickel; 30% or less of cobalt; 99% or less of alumina; and a trace of the impurities, which is catalytically active to purify the exhaust of diesel vehicles. A filter or a washcoat made of the discharged catalyst composition alone or in combination with ordinary filtering materials or ordinary washcoat materials can be very useful for purification of smoke. In addition, a catalyst in which at least one metal of the platinum group is uniformly impregnated on the filter is quite superior to conventional ones employing alumina or titania as a washcoat in stability to both high temperature and sulfur trioxide.
