Abstract:
A process for preparing a mixed metal oxide catalyst. The process includes the steps of admixing metal compounds, at least one of which is an oxygen containing compound, and at least one solvent to form a solution, removing the solvent from the solution to obtain a catalyst precursor, calcining the catalyst precursor at a temperature from about 350° C. to about 850° C. under a gaseous atmosphere comprising CO2, and forming a mixed-metal oxide catalyst. A process for reducing the formation of tellurium metal in a mixed metal oxide catalyst including tellurium is also provided.
Abstract:
Methods and systems are provided for analyzing parallelism of program code. According to a method, the sequential execution of the program code is simulated so as to trace the execution procedure of the program code, and parallelism of the program code is analyzed based on the result of the trace to the execution procedure of the program code. Execution information of the program code is collected by simulating the sequential execution of the program code, and parallelism of the program code is analyzed based on the collected execution information, so as to allow programmers to perform parallel task partitioning of the program code with respect to a multi-core architecture more effectively, thus increasing the efficiency of parallel software development.
Abstract:
An arc type baby crib has four inclined corner seats, top tubes, four bases, bottom tubes and upright tubes each being pivotally connected to the inclined corner seat and the base. The top tube is arced and is concave outward. The inclined corner seat is inclined by an angle so that a portion of the inclined corner seat pivotally connected to the upright tube is not perpendicular to a floor. The upright tube is further arced. An inner wall of the inclined corner seat is formed with a land track corresponding to a sliding slot of the upright tube. Thus, the arced top tubes and the arced upright tubes in the baby crib may be firmly and symmetrically combined when the upright tubes under the inclined corner seats are not perpendicular to the arced top tubes.
Abstract:
An apparatus includes a substrate with a cavity and a two-stage resonator filter fabricated over the cavity. The two-stage resonator filter includes a first stage and a second stage. The first stage includes a first resonator and a second resonator, the second resonator acoustically coupled to the first resonator. The second stage includes a third resonator and a fourth resonator, the fourth resonator acoustically coupled to the third resonator. The second resonator and the third resonators are electrically coupled. A decoupling layer couples the first resonator and the second resonator. The decoupling layer extends between the third resonator and the fourth resonator. The first resonator and the fourth resonator are above the substrate. The decoupling layer is above the first resonator and the fourth resonator. The second resonator and the third resonators are above the decoupling layer.
Abstract:
A digital controller for dc-dc switching converters can operate under light load conditions. The controller can be suitable for the use in switch-mode power supplies providing regulated output voltage for handheld devices and other low-power electronics. To create long time intervals, compared to the propagation time of digital logic a DPFM/DPAM can use a ring oscillator with two sets of delay cells and two signals racing around the ring.
Abstract:
A subgenus of olfactory receptors (ORs) that are activated by isovaleric acid (IVA) are identified as well as assays that utilize one or more of these ORs. These assays are useful for identifying potential anti-odorants which may be used in deodorants, air and carpet fresheners, fabric deodorizers, and other compositions for camouflaging odor attributable to IVA and related carboxylic acids.
Abstract:
This invention is directed to a process for making an olefin product from a mixed alcohol feed stream. The alcohol product that is formed using this invention contains significant quantities of methanol and ethanol, and is relatively in higher alcohols (i.e., C3+ alcohols) and in branched alcohols. One of the catalysts used to form the mixed alcohol is an oxide-containing catalyst that has been modified to contain a Fischer-Tropsch metal (i.e., cobalt, iron, and nickel).
Abstract:
This invention is directed to the production of olefin product high in ethylene and propylene content using synthesis gas (syngas) as a feed. The syngas is converted to an intermediate composition high in methanol and dimethyl ether using a catalyst of at least two catalyst components, the first including at least one metal oxide and the second including at least one molecular sieve. The intermediate composition is then contacted with an olefin forming catalyst to form the olefin product.
Abstract:
The invention provides processes for preparing and using an analytical tool for determining coke content on a catalyst composition. The analytical tool is particularly desirable in that it allows the determination of an average coke on catalyst level as well as a distribution of coke on catalyst levels of an unknown catalyst sample. The processes correlate color information with coke content, and provide an easy way to determine the amount of coke on the catalyst based on the color of the catalyst.
Abstract:
Acoustically coupled resonators include a first and a second acoustic resonator. Both the first and second acoustic resonators include a first electrode, a layer of piezoelectric material, and a second electrode. The first electrode is adjacent a first surface of the layer of piezoelectric material. The second electrode is adjacent a second surface of the layer of piezoelectric material. At least the second electrode has an edge that is tapered.
