Abstract: The present invention relates to a catalyst for producing light olefins from C4-C7 hydrocarbons from catalytic cracking reaction and the production process of light olefins from said catalyst, wherein said catalyst has core-shell structure comprising a zeolite core with mole ratio of silicon to aluminium (Si/Al) between 2 to 250 and layered double hydroxide shell (LDH). The catalyst according to the invention provides high percent conversion of substrate to products and high selectivity to light olefins product.

Abstract: To provide a method for producing propionaldehyde directly from glycerol with high yield, gasified glycerol is brought into contact with a silica-type regular mesoporous body. More specifically, gasified glycerol is supplied to a catalyst layer containing a regular mesoporous body while heating the catalyst layer at a temperature ranging from 200 to 800° C. in such a manner that a W/F value can fall within the range from 0.001 to 1000 g·min/ml inclusive wherein W represents an amount (g) of a catalyst and F represents a supply rate (ml/min) of supplied glycerol.

Abstract: According to one or more embodiments disclosed herein, a mesoporous zeolite may be made by a method comprising contacting an initial zeolite material with ammonium hexafluorosilicate to modify the framework of the initial zeolite material, and forming mesopores in the framework-modified zeolite material. The contacting may form a framework-modified zeolite material. The mesoporous zeolites may be incorporated into catalysts.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a process for the production of bio-oil which involves heating a mixture of a biomass slurry and a first catalyst composition at a temperature ranging from 200 to 350° C. and at a pressure ranging from 70 to 250 bars to obtain a mass containing crude bio oil, a residue and the catalyst; separating the crude bio oil from said mass to obtain a separated crude bio oil; extracting said separated crude bio oil with at least one solvent and evaporating said solvent to obtain a solvent free crude bio oil; subjecting said solvent free crude bio oil to reduction in the presence of a second catalyst composition and hydrogen source at temperature and pressure conditions similar to those employed for the conversion of bio mass into crude bio oil to obtain bio-oil. The second catalyst composition is the same as that of the first catalyst composition. The process also comprises a method step of recovering the first catalyst and reusing it either for preparing crude bio oil or bio oil or both.

Abstract: A method for producing double-component modified molecular sieve comprises adding molecular sieve to an aqueous solution containing phosphorus to form a mixture, allowing the mixture to react at pH of 1-10, temperature of 70-200° C. and pressure of 0.2-1.2 MPa for 10-200 min, and then filtering, drying and baking the resultant to obtain phosphorus-modified molecular sieve, and then adding the phosphorus-modified molecular sieve to an aqueous solution containing silver ions, allowing the phosphorus-modified molecular sieve to react with silver ions at 0-100° C. in dark condition for 30-150 min, and then filtering, drying and baking. The obtained double-component modified molecular sieve contains 88-99 wt % molecular sieve with a ratio of silica to alumina between 15 and 60, 0.5-10 wt % phosphorus (based on oxides) and 0.01-2 wt % silver (based on oxides), all based on dry matter. A catalyst produced from the double-component modified molecular sieve has improved hydrothermal stability and microactivity.

Abstract: A novel MFI zeolite that when used as a catalyst, can be used for a selective catalytic reaction for larger molecules and provides a method for producing the MFI zeolite. The MFI zeolite includes uniform mesopores having a pore distribution curve which a peak-width thereof at half height (hw) is at most 20 nm (hw≦20 nm) and a center value (μ) of a maximum peak is 10 nm or more and 20 nm or less (10 nm≦μ≦20 nm), and having a pore volume (pv) of the uniform mesopores of at least 0.05 mL/g (0.05 mL/g≦pv); the MFI zeolite has no peak in a range of 0.1° to 3° in powder X-ray diffraction measurement with a diffraction angle represented by 2θ; and the MFI zeolite has an average particle diameter (PD) of at most 100 nm (PD≦100 nm).

Abstract: Disclosed herein is a method of making activated EU-2 zeolite, including: pores having a diameter of 30 to 40 Å while maintaining the crystal structure of the EU-2 zeolite; and pores having a diameter of 40 to 200 Å, wherein the volume of the pores having a diameter of 30 to 40 Å is 0.01 to 0.06 cc/g, and the volume of the pores having a diameter of 40 to 200 Å is 0.07 to 0.4 cc/g.
