Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method and apparatus for indicating a cell splitting pattern to a neighboring base station. A base station may perform cell splitting, and transmit, to the neighboring base station, coverage information representing the current shape of the split cells of the base station, determined by the cell splitting. In addition, the base station may further transmit, to the neighboring base station, index information indicating the current cell splitting pattern preconfigured between the base station and the neighboring base station. The neighboring base station may apply a set of mobility robustness optimization (MRO) parameters on the basis of the received coverage information.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus for transmitting split availability of a cell in a wireless communication system is provided. A first eNodeB (eNB) may transmit a split availability of a first cell, managed by the first eNB, to neighbor eNBs. The split availability of the first cell may indicate whether the first cell supports cell split operation or not. Alternatively, the split availability of the first cell may indicate whether the first eNB supports an active antenna system (AAS).
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method by which a base station transmits a signal for coverage coordination in a wireless communication system and a device for the same. According to one embodiment of the present invention, a coordinating base station receives coverage related information from each of a first base station and a second base station, performs a coverage coordination procedure by using the coverage related information of the first and second base stations and transmits a signal for coverage coordination, which is determined according to the result of performing the coverage coordination procedure, to each of the first and second base stations, wherein the coverage coordination procedure includes determining whether the second base station can supplement the coverage of the first base station when the first base station switches to an idle mode.
Abstract:
A method for processing, by a gateway, an X2 message, and a method for transmitting, by a first eNode B (eNB), an X2 message in a wireless communication system are discussed. The method for processing an X2 message according to one embodiment including receiving, by the gateway, an X2 setup request message and target information from a first eNodeB (eNB); transmitting, by the gateway, the received X2 setup request message to a second eNB based on the received target information; receiving, by the gateway, an X2 setup response message from the second eNB; and transmitting, by the gateway, the received X2 setup response message to the first eNB. The target information is additional information of the X2 setup request message. The first eNB is a home eNB (HeNB).
Abstract:
A method and apparatus for performing trace recording in a wireless communication system is provided. It is assumed that an evolved NodeB (eNB) is shared by a first operator and a second operator. The UE receives an indication, which allows collecting minimization of drive tests (MDT) logs of a user equipment (UE) of the second operator, from a mobility management entity (MME) of the second operator. Upon collecting the MDT logs, the UE transmits a trace record based on the collected MDT logs to a trace collection entity (TCE) of the first operator.

Abstract:
A method and apparatus for transmitting an indication in a wireless communication system is provided. An eNodeB (eNB) of a first system transmits an indication, which indicates that handover of a user equipment (UE) from the eNB to a radio network controller (RNC) of a second system is a necessary handover, to the RNC. In addition, a method and apparatus for receiving an indication for inter-radio access technology (RAT) unnecessary handover in a wireless communication system is provided. An eNB of a first system transmits a request for measuring, by a UE, quality of signals from the first system, and information related to the inter-RAT unnecessary handover, and receives an indication for the inter-RAT unnecessary handover.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus for transmitting target cell information in a wireless communication system is provided. An eNodeB (eNB) transmits target cell information to an X2-gateway (GW) via an X2 setup request message or an eNB configuration update message. The target cell information may include at least one of target eNB identifier (ID), target cell ID or target radio network layer (RNL) ID.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus for transmitting an indication in a wireless communication system is provided. A source donor eNodeB (DeNB) transmits a first handover request message for a mobile relay node, to a target DeNB, and transmits a second handover request message for user equipments (UEs) attached to the mobile relay node, to a target eNB. The source DeNB transmits an indication including information on lists of UEs which can be handed over to the target eNB, to the mobile relay node, and the mobile relay node transmits a radio resource control (RRC) connection reconfiguration message indicating a UE to handover to the target eNB.
Abstract:
The present disclosure relates to manual closed access group (CAG) selection in wireless communications. According to an embodiment of the present disclosure, a method performed by a central unit (CU) in a wireless communication system comprises: receiving, from a distribution unit (DU), information informing whether to allow a manual closed access group (CAG) selection on a CAG identifier (ID) not included in a list of allowed CAG IDs of a wireless device for each of public land mobile networks (PLMNs); receiving, from an access and mobility management function (AMF), a list of PLMNs supported by the AMF; determining CAG control information informing at least one PLMN for which a manual CAG selection on a CAG ID not included in the list of allowed CAG IDs of the wireless device is allowed, based on the list of PLMNs supported by the AMF and the information received from the DU; and transmitting, to the DU, the CAG control information.
