摘要： A digital information transmitting, receiving and/or recording/reproducing system, provided with the digital information transmitting apparatus for transmitting the digital information to a transmission path, a receiving apparatus for receiving the transmitted digital information and a recording/reproducing apparatus for the recording received digital information to a recording media and reproducing therefrom. The apparatus includes a compressor which compresses the digital information, a transmission parity signal adder which adds a transmission parity signal to the output signal of the compressor in order to correct an error occurring in the transmission path, wherein the transmission parity signal is different from a record parity signal to be added at the recording apparatus and a transmitter which transmits the transmission parity signal added compressed digital information added by the transmission parity signal adder to the transmission path.

摘要： A processing system and a recording/reproducing system for a digital signal including a digital video signal and a digital audio signal. Upon transmission, the digital signal is transmitted after time-base compression and modulation. The transmitted signal is received and demodulated. In the case where the signal is to be transmitted to a plurality of recording/reproducing systems, address signals designating ones of the plural recording/reproducing systems and a control signal for controlling the start/stop of recording are transmitted. The recording by the recording/reproducing system is controlled so that it is made with the same format in either normal-speed or high-speed mode or in either normal or multiple recording mode.

摘要： An apparatus for storing high definition image signals capable of processing high definition image signals and low definition image signals using the same apparatus. A storage medium is provided with an interface of low definition image signals. High definition image signals are compressed, transformed into a format according to the specifications of the interface of low definition image signals and are then stored in the storage medium. The compressed image signals taken out from the storage medium are subjected to the format reverse transform for expansion to restore the original high definition image signals. The format-transformed compressed high definition image signals and the compressed high definition image signals taken out from the storage medium are transmitted over a transmission medium via low definition image interface and are, as required, stored in the storage medium or put to other processings, and are then expanded to restore the original high definition image signals.

摘要： A skew error correction device for a video signal in a television receiver or the like is disclosed. An oscillator produces an oscillation output signal of a constant frequency which is phase-synchronized with horizontal synchronization information included in an input video signal, and the output signal is used as a write clock. In a vertical blanking period, the oscillation output signal or a frequency-divided signal thereof is phase-compared with an output of a reference signal generator of a predetermined frequency or a frequency-divided signal thereof, and a phase error signal is negatively fed back to voltage control means which voltage-controls the oscillation frequency of the oscillator. Thus, the oscillation frequency is stabilized without using an AFC circuit and a skew error in the input video signal is eliminated.

摘要： An interface is realized that can prevent video signals from being copied easily and which uses a luminance/color difference signal transmission scheme with an excellent harmony with a television circuit. In a video transmission using a digital interface, colorimetry information for defining the conversion from the luminance/color difference signal into a primary color signal and video aspect ratio information are transmitted along with the luminance/color difference type video signal. This allows reproduction of video with high quality and high resolution and also realizes a copyright protection which allows only the users authorized by key information to use the content of the video. With this transmission scheme, it is possible to provide a transmitting apparatus, a receiving apparatus and an interface which highly harmonize with a rationalized television-based circuit.

摘要： An apparatus for processing a transmitted digital signal including at least one of a video signal and an audio signal. The apparatus includes a receiver which receives the transmitted digital signal, wherein the transmitted digital signal includes a video signal which is bit-compressed, an audio signal which is bit-compressed, and an error correction signal added commonly to both the video signal and the audio signal, a demodulator which demodulates the received digital signal, and an error corrector which corrects an error of the digital signal demodulated by the demodulator. A first expander bit-expands the video signal of the digital signal corrected by the error corrector, a second expander bit-expands the audio signal of the digital signal corrected by the error corrector.
