摘要: Systems and methods of monitoring a subject's neurological condition are provided. In some embodiments, the method includes the steps of analyzing a physiological signal (such as an EEG) from a subject to determine if the subject is in a contra-ictal condition; and if the subject is in a contra-ictal condition, providing an indication (e.g., to the subject and/or to a caregiver) that the subject is in the contra-ictal condition. The systems and methods may utilize a minimally invasive, leadless device to monitor the subject's condition. In some embodiments, if the subject is in a pro-ictal condition, the method includes the step of providing an indication (such as a red light) that the subject is in the pro-ictal condition.

摘要: A method of developing a brain state advisory system including the following steps: deriving a brain state advisory algorithm; applying the brain state advisory algorithm to patient EEG data to identify occurrences of the target patient brain state (such as, e.g., a pro-ictal state or a contra-ictal state) in the patient EEG data; determining if a performance measure of the advisory algorithm for the target brain state exceeds the performance measure of a chance predictor for the target brain state; and if the performance measure of the advisory algorithm for the target brain state exceeds the performance measure of a chance predictor for the target brain state, storing the advisory algorithm in memory of the brain state advisory system. The invention also includes seizure advisory systems.

摘要: An adjustable front sight includes a carrier with a spiral sighting blade mounted for rotation within a base attached directly or indirectly to a barrel. A progression of sight lands is formed along a peripheral surface of the spiral sighting blade. Rotation of the carrier in opposite directions moves different sight lands into a sighting position at varying heights above the barrel for making elevation adjustments.

摘要: A method and article for packaging an automatic external defibrillator for use without a prescription are described. The OTC AED is encased in a rigid polymeric disclosure which is a distinctive color or set of colors to enable the OTC AED to be readily distinguished in the home environment. The defibrillator is packaged in a box with multicolored depictions of the defibrillator on multiple sides of the box, which enable the distinctive coloring of the defibrillator to be readily identified by the exterior of the packaging. The packaging may also include indication of use for the OTC AED and considerations useful to a layperson purchaser when deciding whether to acquire an OTC AED.

摘要: A container for dispensing liquid-type products that features a collapsible blow dome includes a rolling sleeve that is integrally molded with the container body and contains a neck feature. A dispensing cap connects with the neck of the rolling sleeve and is used to regulate the flow of product from the container. The rolling sleeve may move from its normal position recessed within the container body to an extended position extruding past the surface of the container. In its extended position, the blow dome allows for complete discharge of the contents of the container and does so eliminating the need and extra costs associated with the use of a base or platform.

摘要: A new method and system for bar code data interchange includes a bar code scanner, such as a high scan rate LED scanner, and reads bar coded information from a video display. This bar coded information is scanned from the video display into a host device. The bar coded information may be sent to a user in a variety of ways, including over the Internet, any intranet, or any type of telephony network. The bar coded information may be viewed by the user on the video display as part of an e-mail message, as displayed on a web-page, or as displayed on television programming. The scanned bar coded information is decoded and may then be used. A first software program may have been used to create the bar coded information, and a second and distinct software application may be used with the now decoded bar coded information.
