摘要: Disclosed are an apparatus and system for providing diagnosis information to a requestor. A request module receives information related to a request from the requestor for diagnosis and to facilitate communication to at least one expert resource. A receive module receives at least one response to the request for diagnoses from the at least one expert resource. A select module in communication with the receive module analyzes the at least one response and, based on the analysis, communicates information to at least one predetermined destination. A method is disclosed where a request module receives a request, a receive module receives a plurality of responses to the request and from the plurality of responses, a select module selects a subset of responses and communicates the subset of responses to a predetermined destination.

摘要: The invention relates to the use of mass labelled probes to characterize nucleic acids by mass spectrometry. Thus the invention provides methods of detecting the presence of a target nucleic acid in a sample, using a circularizing probe in which a mass tag is present in the probe. Further methods of detecting the presence of a target nucleic acid are provided, which in contrast use a probe detection sequence in the circularizing probe, wherein the probe detection sequence is detected with a probe attached to a mass tag. Methods for determining a genetic profile from the genome of an organism also form part of the invention.

摘要: Apparatus for stowing and deploying a plurality of control surfaces of a guided air vehicle comprises: a housing including: a plurality of slotted openings along an outside surface thereof; and a corresponding plurality of cavities within the housing, each cavity extending to the outside surface of the housing through the slotted opening corresponding thereto and configured to accommodate span wise stowage of a corresponding control surface of the plurality, and each cavity having a section including an angled ledge and side wall support surface to accommodate stowage of the corresponding control surface in a span wise canted position with respect to the corresponding slotted opening. A method of operating comprises the steps of: folding each control surface of the plurality edge wise through the corresponding slotted opening and into the corresponding cavity within the housing; moving each folded control surface into a stowage section of the corresponding cavity to edge wise mis-align each folded control surface from the corresponding slotted opening; moving each control surface in the corresponding cavity from the corresponding stowage section into edge wise alignment with the corresponding slotted opening; and deploying each control surface edge wise aligned with the corresponding slotted opening from the cavity through the corresponding slotted opening to a deployed position.

摘要: The present invention concerns a fuel reservoir for a liquid fuel cell particularly useful for portable electronic devices in which the fuel reservoir can deliver the liquid fuel regardless of the orientation. The fuel reservoir comprises (a) a container defining a cavity for holding the liquid fuel; (b) a wicking structure positioned within the cavity and into which at least a portion of the liquid fuel wicks and from which said liquid fuel subsequently may be discharged or delivered, such as by pumping or wicking. The wicking structure is formed from a wicking material with a free rise wick height greater than at least one half of the longest dimension of the wicking structure. Among materials with such wicking capability are foams, matted, bundled or woven fibers and nonwoven fibers. The container may have a generally flat and thin profile, formed as a pouch or envelope with substantially planar top and bottom faces of flexible film material, such that the container holding the wicking structure and filled with the liquid fuel can be bent or shaped.
