Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatuses for wireless communication are described. A user equipment (UE) may receive information from a network node. The system information may include inter-frequency configuration and measurement reporting configuration. The UE may perform a measurement of a frequency or multiple frequencies that are associated with the inter-frequency configuration. Subsequent to the measurement, the UE may transmit a report of the measurement of the frequency or multiple frequencies to the network node during a radio resource control (RRC) connection procedure based on the measurement reporting configuration.

The UE may operate in a first power mode during the first inactive duration. The UE may monitor the channel for wireless communication associated with a second RAT during one or more of a second active duration or a second inactive duration. The UE may operate during the second inactive duration in one or more of the first power mode or a second power. The UE may operate according to the first mode or the second mode based on the monitoring of the channel associated with the first RAT and the second RAT.

Abstract: Wireless communications systems and methods related to user equipment (UE) idle mode mobility in a wireless communication network are provided. A wireless communication device establishes a network session with a wireless communication network. The wireless communication device reselects a first cell for camping, wherein the first cell is associated with the wireless communication network. The wireless communication device monitors for first system information from the first cell. The wireless communication device reselects a second cell for camping in response to a failure to receive the first system information. The second cell is associated with the wireless communication network and different from the first cell. The wireless communication device maintains the network session during the reselecting the first cell for camping and the reselecting the second cell for camping.

Abstract: Systems, methods, and apparatus are described that provide for communicating coexistence messages over a multi-drop serial bus. A method performed at a device coupled to a serial bus includes receiving first coexistence information directed to a first device coupled to the serial bus, generating a first coexistence message representative of the first coexistence information, converting the first coexistence message to obtain a first datagram including the first coexistence information, and transmitting the first datagram to the first device over the serial bus. The first coexistence message may be configured for communication through a point-to-point data link. The first datagram may be configured according to a first protocol associated with the serial bus.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. Some wireless devices (e.g., dual subscriber identity modules (SIM) devices) may support two subscriptions such that while one subscription is actively transmitting or receiving, the other subscription is put on standby. The wireless device may identify collisions in time between monitored paging messages associated with the first and second subscriptions. Accordingly, the wireless device may modify a radio access technology (RAT) priority setting for one of the subscriptions, such that paging messages may be received via a RAT different that the RAT used for the other subscription (e.g., following a cell reselection procedure performed according to the modified RAT priority). Operation using a modified RAT priority setting may be referred to as a fallback mode, which may be exited upon expiration of a timer. Additionally, discontinuous reception (DRX) durations associated with the RATs used for subscription paging may be reduced.

Abstract: A method for call setup for a voice-over-long-term evolution (VoLTE) call on multi-subscriber identity module (SIM) multi-standby (MSMS) mobile communication device includes: receiving a long-term evolution (LTE) page; determining whether a WiFi connection is available; in response to determining that the WiFi connection is not available, determining whether the LTE page was received on a non-dedicated data subscription (DDS) subscription; and in response to determining that the LTE page was received on the non-DDS subscription, granting a highest priority for communication activities to an LTE page response on the non-DDS subscription.

Abstract: Examples described herein relate to enhancing data communication performance in a wireless communication network including a first subscription associated with a first radio access technology (RAT) and a second subscription associated with a second RAT, where the wireless communication device uses a same radio frequency (RF) resource to communicate over both the first RAT and the second RAT. The first RAT is used, in part, for data operations while the second RAT is used, in part, for voice operations. During idle state voice operations, the RF resource is reallocated from performing data operations to performing idle state voice operations, causing interruptions in the data operations. The wireless communication device adjusts at least one or a duration and an occurrence of the idle state voice operations to reduce the impact on the data operations.

Abstract: Embodiments include methods implemented by a processor of a mobile communication device for managing tune-aways by a radio frequency resource supporting a first subscription to support a second subscription. The processor may determine a data loss ratio of the data of a media file that is lost in transmission to the mobile communication device. The processor may compare the data loss ratio of the data to a first data loss ratio threshold and a second data loss ratio threshold, and the processor may block a tune-away event of the radio frequency resource from the first subscription to the second subscription in response to determining that the data loss ratio of the data is greater than the first data loss ratio threshold and less than the second data loss ratio threshold.

Abstract: A multi-subscriber identification module (MSIM) wireless communication device may have at least a first SIM and a second SIM associated with a shared radio frequency (RF) resource. The wireless communication device may detect that the first SIM is set as a designated data subscription (DDS), such that a modem stack associated with the first SIM receives information broadcast by a first network. The wireless communication device may perform a network attach procedure with a second network on a modem stack associated with the second SIM, such that a default packet data network (PDN) connection is established with the second network. The wireless communication device may set the default PDN connection as a persistent PDN connection, with the modem stack associated with the second SIM maintaining at least one persistent PDN connection.
