摘要: A process for allowing the attachment of drive or coupling elements, such as cams, gears, crank webs or bearing elements, such as friction bearing bushes, or complete roller bearings on tubes or tubular portions by hydraulic expansion, for the purpose of producing assembled cam shafts, transmission shafts, crank shafts or the like, with the expansion of the tubes taking place exclusively in the region of the respective elements beyond the limit of elasticity of the tubes, against a permanent elastic prestress in the elements. To relieve the load on the seals limiting the regions to be expanded, a counter pressure which is higher than the ambient pressure is applied to the intermediate or end regions.

摘要: A honeycomb body, especially a catalyst carrier body with a preferably round, oval or elliptical cross section, includes a jacket tube and a stack of at least partly structured sheet-metal layers being intertwined in different directions in the jacket tube. The stack has a given length dimension and a given width dimension. At least one of the sheet-metal layers has a greater thickness over at least part of at least one of the given dimensions than others of the layers. The at least one sheet-metal layer having a greater thickness is formed of thicker sheet metal than the others of the layers or it is formed of a plurality of identically structured metal sheets resting closely against one another.

摘要: A U-tube heat exchanger for the heat transfer from a primary gas circuit to a secondary gas circuit in a high temperature reactor. At the high temperatures of approximately 950.degree. C., the additionally permissible stresses on the used materials are low. The cold gas collector is therefore flexibly attached at the housing. The arrangement permits complete and also remote-controlled testing from the secondary gas-side of all parts of the primary gas circuit which are stressed by pressure. The flexible elements are neither stressed by the weight of the heat exchanger nor endangered by high temperatures.

摘要: A metal foil has a material thickness in a range of from 0.15 mm to 0.02 mm and a structure with elevations and depressions which extend over a length of the metal foil and are disposed adjacent one another. At least some of the elevations or depressions have at least one first indentation and at least one second indentation adjacent the at least one first indentation. The at least one second indentation is at a different distance from the corresponding elevation or depression than the first indentation. An assembly having filter material, a honeycomb body and an exhaust gas treatment device for mobile internal combustion engines, are also provided.

摘要: A honeycomb body that is formed of alternating layers that are substantially smooth and layers that are at least partially structured, in particular a catalytic converter support and/or filter, preferably for the exhaust gas system of a motor vehicle. The layers form cavities that allow a fluid to flow in an axial flow direction. The structured layers have structural extremities in contact with smooth neighboring layers and inverted sections in the vicinity of their structural extremities. The sections protrude into the cavities and have a form approximately inverse of the structural extremities in a cross-section through the honeycomb body that runs perpendicularly to the flow direction in such a way that breaks are formed in the structural extremities in the vicinity of the inverted sections. Counter-structures are configured in the vicinity of the inverted sections and/or structural extremities in the essentially smooth layers. The structures engage with the structural extremities and/or inverted sections, in particular in a positive fit. In the inventive honeycomb body, relative displacements of the two layers in the flow direction are prevented by the co-operation of the inverted sections and the counter-structures that are allocated to the latter, by the engagement of the counter-structure with the inverted section. This also prevents the telescoping of honeycomb bodies.

摘要: A process for producing a particle filter from metal foil includes pulling the metal foil from an endless storage device. A joining element or strip is applied to the metal foil. The metal foil is shaped into subsequent channels. The metal foil is wound or stacked to form first and second channels in opposite directions. The first channel has an open entry cross section at the first end side extending partway into the first channel. The first channel has a closure opposite the entry cross section toward the second end side. Mutually bearing contact surfaces of the channels are joined, creating a wholly metal foil particle filter.

摘要: A particle filter of metal foil has walls defining fluid flow channels with inlets and outlets. A first channel has an open entry cross section at a first end side extended partway into the first channel. A second channel has an open exit cross section substantially corresponding to the entry cross section. One of the walls of the first channel has filter passage perforations leading to the second channel. A closure in the first channel, opposite the entry cross section, toward a second end side, closes off the first channel to the fluid. A process for producing a particle filter from metal foil includes pulling the metal foil from an endless storage device.
