    摘要: A mobile communication system using an enhanced uplink dedicated transport channel transmits data at a relatively low effective data rate through non-scheduled transmission. Data transmission time intervals for user equipments (UEs) have different values in the non-scheduled transmission and therefore uplink interference is reduced. An non-scheduled transmission period N and the number of non-scheduled transmissions k are determined such that each UE performs the non-scheduled transmission. A Node B and each UE are notified of possible non-scheduled transmission time intervals based on the determined non-scheduled transmission period N and the determined number of non-scheduled transmissions k through signaling. The UE transmits the uplink data without the Node B's scheduling at the possible non-scheduled transmission time intervals.

A transmitter determines reliability indication information indicating a required reliability for a feedback signal for a user data packet to be transmitted, and sends the user data packet and the reliability indication information in per packet control information associated with the user data packet. A receiver receives the user data packet and the per packet control information, decodes the user data packet according to the per packet control information, performs an error verification on the decoded user data packet that comprises errors, and transmits the feedback signal with a reliability determined, based on the reliability indication information according to the result of the error verification.

    摘要: A method and apparatus performs handover from an OFDM-based E-UMTS system to a CDMA-based UMTS system. A UE in communication with a PDN via the E-UMTS system, measures signal strength of the UMTS system, and sends a measurement report message indicating the measured signal strength to the E-UMTS system. A radio access network (E-RAN) of the E-UMTS system, determines whether to perform handover from the E-UMTS system to the UMTS system based on the measured signal strength. If the handover is to be performed, a core network (E-CN) of the E-UMTS system generates a PDP context and an MM context for the UE in response to a handover request from the E-RAN. The E-CN sets up a data tunnel for the UE to a GGSN of the UMTS system using the PDP/MM context. After setting up the data tunnel, the E-CN sends to the UE a handover command message including information on a radio bearer (RB) to be used by the UE to access the UMTS system. The UE accesses the UMTS system using the RB information. After accessing the UMTS system, the UE forwards user data for the UE via a data transmission path composed of the E-CN, the data tunnel, a SGSN, and a RAN of the UMTS system, between the PDN and the UE.

    摘要: Disclosed are an apparatus and method for providing packet data service from a radio network controller (RNC) to user equipment (UE) in a mobile communication system. A radio bearer (RB) of a predetermined channel type is configured to compress and de-compress headers of packets passed between the RNC and the UE. The packet data service is provided from the RNC to the UE via the RB. When the channel type is changed, configuration information associated with an RB of the changed channel type is determined. Header compression (HC) context used in the RB of a previous channel type is acquired according to the configuration information and the RB of the changed channel type including the acquired HC context is configured. The packet data service is continuously provided via the RB of the changed channel type. Therefore, the invention reduces waste of radio resources that is due to a channel type change and delay that is due to system reset.
