    摘要: In an apparatus using an intensity-modulated light for detection of spatial information based upon light intensity of light reflected from a target space, a timing synchronization circuit is provided to synchronize a phase of the intensity-modulated light from a light-emitting element with a timing of operating a light-receiving element receiving the intensity-modulated light. The light-receiving element is caused to operate for enabling the detection of intensity of the received light for each of a plurality of phase regions within one cycle of the intensity-modulated light. The timing synchronization circuit functions to compare a cyclic variation determining the operation of the light-receiving element with a cyclic variation associated with an output from a light-emitting element driving circuit in order to keep a constant phase difference between these two cyclic variations.

    摘要: A spatial information detection system, which is capable of, even when detecting spatial information from a common target space by use of a plurality of detection devices, achieving accurate detection without causing interference between the detection devices. Each of the detection devices has a light emitting source for projecting light intensity-modulated with a modulation period into the target space, a photodetector for receiving light from the target space, and an evaluation portion for detecting the spatial information of the target space from a change between the light projected from the light emitting source and the light received by the photodetector. The system includes a timing control portion for controlling the timings of projecting the lights from the light emitting sources such that a light projection period of the light emitting source of one of the detection devices does not overlap with the light projection period of the light emitting source of another detection device.

    摘要: A wireless sensor device of low energy consumption operates over a prolonged period of time for providing a reliable sensor result. The wireless sensor device includes a sensor configured to sense a target object and provide a sensor signal of varying levels indicative of condition of the target object, a signal processing circuit configured to amplify the sensor signal and give an amplified electric analog signal, and a detection circuit configured to receive the amplified analog signal and provide a detection output when the electric analog signal goes beyond a predetermined detection threshold. Also included in the device is a radio transmitter which transmits a radio detection signal in response to the detection output. Further, the device includes a power supply configured to provide an electric power to the signal processing circuit and the radio transmitter; and a power generating element which converts an external energy into the electric power to be accumulated in the power supply. The controller is included to activate the radio transmitter only in response to the detection output, permitting the radio transmitter to generate the radio detection signal. Thus, the radio transmitter can be kept inactivated until receiving the detection output, thereby saving energy to prolong the operating life of the device.

    摘要: A spatial information detecting device using an intensity-modulated light is provided. This device comprises a photoelectric converter for receiving a light from a space into which a light intensity-modulated at a predetermined emission frequency is being irradiated, and generating an electrical output corresponding to an intensity of received light; a local oscillator circuit for outputting a local oscillator signal having a local oscillator frequency different from the emission frequency; a sensitivity controller for mixing the local oscillator signal with the electrical output to frequency convert the electrical output into a beat signal having a lower frequency than the emission frequency; an integrator for performing integration of said beat signal at a predetermined timing; and an analyzer for detecting information concerning the space according to an output of the integrator. According to this device, it is possible to accurately detect the spatial information without using a switching element having high-speed response at the light receiving side.

All the data communicated between the groups 70 passes through the dual cell 10. The user 60 can see the answer cell portion of the dual cell 10, and the server 50 can see the query cell portion of the dual cell 10. Respective elements belonging to different groups are concealed from each other. The arrangement of each cell can be altered only by changing the setting of the dual cell 10.

    摘要: A capacitance type moisture sensor having the capability of accurately detecting amounts of water is provided. This sensor has a sensor housing having an electrically-insulating wall, a pair of electrodes disposed on the sensor housing, and a circuit unit. An outer surface of the electrically-insulating wall faces a space where the amounts of water should be detected. On an inner surface of the electrically-insulating wall, at least one of the electrodes is formed. An electric field developed between the electrodes is defined as a moisture detecting region. The circuit unit includes a capacitance detecting circuit for detecting a capacitance value between the electrodes, which changes in response to the amounts of water in the moisture detecting region, and an output circuit for providing an electrical signal corresponding toe the amounts of water according the capacitance value detected by the capacitance detecting circuit.
