摘要: There is proposed a mechanism allowing a compressed multi-cell channel state information feedback. In a user equipment communicating with plural base stations such as eNBs, a joint set of communication subbands is identified which includes those subbands which provide a specific communication quality level, and which are common to at least two of the plural cells. Then, a status report is generated and transmitted to the control nodes of each of the plural cells. The status report includes an information regarding the joint set of communication subbands, cell specific information including quality indicators for each cell of the plurality of cells related to a transmission using the subbands of the respective cell included in the joint set of communication subbands and quality indicators for each cell of the plurality of cells related to a transmission using all subbands of the respective cell, and joint information concerning a joint quality indicator related to a transmission using all cells.

摘要: A system for determining location information for a wireless device is described. The system includes a UE, a LE and multiple LMUs. The LE sends, to the LMUs, reception instructions with characteristics of the signal transmission from the UE and each LMU receives, from the LE, the reception instructions. The UE sends a signal transmission. Each LMU receives the transmitted signal from the UE, determines locating information based at least in part on the received signal and sends the locating information to the LE. The LE receives the locating information regarding the transmitted signal and determines a location of the UE based at least in part on the received locating information. Methods, apparatus and computer readable media are also described.

摘要: In an embodiment, state of a wireless channel on which information is received is measured; the measured state is used to select from a codebook a plurality of N codewords which optimize a predefined measure, and first and second codewords of the plurality are reported which best optimizes and next-best optimizes the predefined measure. If by example the above is done by a user equipment UE, in another embodiment the network receives first and second indications, searches a codebook using the first and second indications to find the first and second codewords; and utilizes them to improve the channel state information, such as by interpolating between them to find an estimate of the channel. In examples the channel is a MIMO channel that is estimated at two or more antenna ports, there are interpolation weights sent with the codeword indications, and the interpolating uses a geodesic algorithm.

摘要: Disclosed is a method, apparatus and a computer readable memory medium that stores a program of computer instructions for enabling a resource allocation to be made for user equipment. The method includes forming a resource allocation for a particular system bandwidth, where the resource allocation has a larger number of resource blocks than a maximum number of resource blocks associated with the particular system bandwidth, while maintaining a same resource block group size as would be present with the maximum number of resource blocks for the particular system bandwidth. The step of forming includes the use of an extended parameter in a derivation of the resource allocation. The method further includes transmitting information descriptive of the resource allocation to user equipment. The resource allocation may be a downlink resource allocation or an uplink resource allocation.

摘要: A method for channel signaling is described. The method includes determining (e.g., by a UE) whether at least one DL subframe is a valid reference resource. If the at least one DL subframe is not a valid reference resource, reporting measurements of a DL channel measured during the at least one DL subframe is inhibited. The method may include determining (e.g., by an eNB) whether reporting of the at least one DL subframe of a DL channel is required. If reporting is not required, a message configured to cause the at least one UE to inhibit reporting measurements of the DL channel (e.g., CQI measurements) measured during the at least one DL subframe is sent to the UE. Determining whether the at least one downlink subframe is a valid reference resource is based at least in part on the message. Apparatus and computer readable media are also described.

The apparatus includes at least one processor and at least one memory including computer program code. The at least one memory and the computer program code are configured, with the at least one processor, to cause the apparatus to perform at least the following: receive from a user equipment correspondence information that relates channel states of a first set to channel states of a second set (302); receive from the user equipment an indication of at least one channel state of the first set which was measured on a downlink (304); use the received indication of at least one channel state of the first set and the received correspondence information to determine a channel state from the second set (306); and adapt a transmission on a downlink channel for the user equipment using the determined channel state (308).

摘要: A method, apparatus, and computer program determine each transmission point participating in a joint cooperative multi-point transmission to a UE, send a downlink message to the UE which identifies each of the transmission points, and which schedules for the UE downlink resources on which each of the transmission points are to send downlink data to the UE, and send a transmission to the UE on one of the downlink resources in conjunction with each other transmission point's transmission to the UE. A method, apparatus, and computer program receive a downlink message which identifies each of transmission points participating in a joint cooperative multi-point transmission with a UE and which schedules downlink resources on which the UE is to receive downlink data from the transmission points for the joint transmission, and receive, at the UE, a transmission on one of the downlink resources in conjunction with the other transmission point's transmission.

摘要: The present invention relates to dynamic spectrum refarming with multiple carriers. At a first communication system of a first radio access technology, a request is received in a first signaling message from a second communication system of a second radio access technology, the request including information on availability of spectrum blocks shared between the first and second communication systems. The availability of the spectrum blocks may have been determined based on a load of the second communication system. The first communication system performs carrier aggregation mechanisms based on the information with respect to the spectrum blocks, and may transmit a response to the request in a second signaling message to the second communication system, the response including an acknowledgment of an activation/deactivation of at least one additional carrier and/or a corresponding carrier aggregation.
