    摘要: A braking mechanism having a brake band both ends of which are rotatably mounted on a substrate and the central portion of which is bent and connected to a link interlockingly operating with a playback button of a tape recorder. The mechanism further comprises a pair of brake discs which are provided respectively at the tape-feeding side and the take-up side of the tape recorder. The brake discs are each provided with a toothed brake member. The teeth of the brake members are so shaped that one of the brake members cuts into its corresponding brake shoe while the other brake member slipping engages its corresponding brake shoe.

    摘要: An idle speed controller for an internal combustion engine provided with an intake variable valve timing mechanism for varying valve timing and a variable working angle for varying a valve working angle of an intake valve. The controller performs idle speed control. When an advancement failure occurs in the intake variable valve timing mechanism, the controller performs idle-up control to increase the target idle speed. When the valve working angle of the intake variable working angle mechanism is less than a predetermined value, the electronic control unit changes an increase amount of the target idle speed to a lower value if an advancement failure occurs when performing the idle-up as compared to when the valve working angle is greater than the predetermined value.

    摘要: A polyphenylene sulfide resin composition improved in the impact strength, toughness, high temperature resistance and solvent resistance properties is disclosed. The composition comprises (A) 60-99.5% by weight of a thermally cured polyphenylene sulfide material having a melt viscosity of 500-30,000 poises and which has been derived, by thermally curing, from a polyphenylene sulfide having a melt viscosity of 400 poises of higher and containing 0.05-5 mol % of amino groups on the basis of the phenylene sulfide repeating units, and (B) 40-0.5% by weight of a modified polyethylene material comprising at least one polyethylene onto which at least one unsaturated carboxylic acid and/or derivative thereof is graft-copolymerized in a proportion of 0.1-10% by weight of the total weight of said modified polyethylene material.

    摘要: In a process for preparing a polyarylene sulfide by reacting an alkali metal sulfide and at least one dihaloaromatic compound in an organic amide solvent at an elevated temperature: a highly pure anhydrous alkali metal sulfide reactant having a purity of at least 95% by weight and a content of alkali metal hydrosulfide impurity of not greater than 2% by weight is employed. The water is deliberately added in a proportion of 0.1 to 0.8 moles per each mole of the alkali metal sulfide used in the process. The alkali metal sulfide reactant is charged in a concentration of 2.5 to 5 moles per liter of the reaction mixture. The deliberate addition of water enables one to omit a dehydration stage which has been desirably or rather necessarily effected to obtain a satisfactory polymer product where a hydrous alkali metal sulfide reactant is employed. The improved process of the invention provides a highly pure polyarylene sulfide product having a relatively increased molecular weight and a decreased content of by-product oligomers.
