摘要: A control system for an engine including intake and exhaust valve phase variable devices and a control device is provided. At an engine temperature below a first determination temperature, the control is performed so that an exhaust valve close timing is at or retarded from the exhaust top dead center, an intake valve open timing is retarded from the exhaust valve close timing, and the fuel supply to the combustion chamber starts in an intake stroke on a retarding side of the exhaust valve close timing. At the engine temperature above the first determination temperature and below a second determination temperature, the control is performed so that a negative overlap with both the exhaust and intake valves closed during a period including the exhaust top dead center, or a positive overlap with both the exhaust and intake valves opened during a period including the exhaust top dead center, occurs.

摘要: A control method for an internal combustion engine, the internal combustion engine including a valve timing control mechanism on at least an intake side and configured to control an operation of the valve timing control mechanism on the intake side during acceleration, the method including, calculating a relational expression between an intake valve timing, the intake valve timing being an operation timing of an intake valve, and a cylinder air charge amount in a range in which the intake valve timing can be advanced or retarded within a predetermined calculation cycle from a current value, calculating a target air charge amount, the target air charge amount being a target value of the cylinder air charge amount during the acceleration, based on an operating state of the internal combustion engine, calculating a target value of the intake valve timing corresponding to the target air charge amount from the relational expression for each calculation cycle, and setting a command signal for the valve timing control mechanism on the intake side based on a calculated target value of the intake valve timing.

A method of controlling the operation of an injector for injecting water into the combustion chamber of an engine to which a turbo system for increasing the amount of air by compressing air has been applied includes a catalyst state determination step of determining the danger condition of a catalyst for exhaust gas purification by detecting the state of the catalyst, a water injection amount calculation step of calculating a water injection flow value F1 at which a temperature of exhaust gas drops to a preset temperature when the catalyst is in the danger condition, and a water injection step of performing the waterjet operation of a water injector based on the water injection flow value calculated in the water injection amount calculation step.

A valve opening/closing timing control apparatus includes a phase adjustment mechanism configured to vary a relative rotational phase between a driving side rotary body rotatable in synchronism with a crankshaft of the internal combustion engine and a driven side rotary body rotatable together with an exhaust cam shaft. After an opening timing of the exhaust valve, an advancing operation is effected for displacing the relative rotational phase in the advancing direction relative to the opening timing.

摘要: Methods and systems are provided for operating a split exhaust engine system that provides blowthrough air and exhaust gas recirculation to an intake passage via a first exhaust manifold and exhaust gas to an exhaust passage via a second exhaust manifold. In one example, a method may include decreasing gas flow from the first exhaust manifold to the intake passage, upstream of a compressor, where a first set of exhaust valves are exclusively coupled to the first exhaust manifold, in response to a condition of the compressor. Further, the method may include increasing gas flow from the first exhaust manifold to an exhaust passage coupled to a second exhaust manifold coupled to a second set of exhaust valves, in response to the decreasing gas flow.

摘要: In response to a switching demand from an all-cylinder operation to a reduced-cylinder operation, the amount of air to be taken into each of cylinders 2A to 2D is made larger than the amount of air during the all-cylinder operation in a normal state. Preparatory control of changing the ignition timing of ignition device to a timing on the retard side with respect to the ignition timing during the all-cylinder operation in the normal state is executed. After termination of the preparatory control, the reduced-cylinder operation is started. During execution of the preparatory control, the valve closing timing of an exhaust valve 9 is changed to a timing on the advance side with respect to the valve closing timing thereof during the all-cylinder operation in the normal state so as to reduce the amount of internal EGR gas in at least a part of an operating range C.

摘要: A method for operating a combustion engine after a cold start, the combustion engine including a supercharger device, a plurality of combustion chambers, a fuel-injection device injecting into each of the combustion chambers, and a gas-exchange valve control device that controls gas-exchange valves in a variable manner. A rich fuel-air mixture is generated in the combustion chambers, and the combustion-chamber charges are ignited in a retarded manner. Following the cold start, the combustion engine is operated with first valve overlaps that are greater than in a warm combustion engine. A first exhaust valve of a first combustion chamber is initially closed at such a late point that its opening duration overlaps with the opening duration of a second exhaust valve of a second combustion chamber that directly follows the first combustion chamber in the ignition sequence and that discharges into the same exhaust manifold as the first combustion chamber.

摘要: A method for controlling intake and exhaust valves of an engine includes: Controlling opening and closing timings of the intake and exhaust valves by an intake continuous variable valve timing (CVVT) device and an exhaust CVVT devices; determining, by a controller, target intake and exhaust opening durations of the intake and exhaust valves, and target opening and closing timings of the valves based on an engine load and an engine speed; modifying current intake and exhaust opening durations based on the target opening durations via an intake continuous variable valve duration (CVVD) device and an exhaust CVVD device; adjusting opening or closing timings of the valves to the target opening or closing timings of the valves while maintaining the modified opening durations of the valves.
