    摘要: In a passenger weight measuring apparatus, each of bend parts of front and rear brackets for supporting a seat to a vehicle main body side becomes bent and deformed in response to the load applied by the weight of the passenger sit in the seat. A load sensor on each the bend part detects the load based on the bend deformation and outputs a voltage signal of magnitude responsive to the load to a signal processor. The processor generates a load detection signal clamped in the voltage range corresponding to a preset passenger weight load range from the voltage signal and outputs the load detection signal to an output terminal. When the detected load is a collision load set in a load region out of the load range, the processor outputs an abnormal load detection signal different from the load detection signal to the same output terminal.

    摘要: A protecting cover and a pickup device, each having a hooking portion, are rotatably provided at the flank of an image forming apparatus. The rotational centers of the protecting cover and the pickup device and the hooking portions are arranged in such geometry that the hooking portions become engaged with each other only in the range from a predetermined trace intersection to the flank of the image forming apparatus when the protecting cover is rotated from its usage position toward its retracted position at the flank of the image forming apparatus. The pickup device is stopped at the starting position of engagement where the hooking portions are positioned at the trace intersection when sheet feed is not made, and is moved to the operating position when sheet feed is to be made. The protecting cover is constructed so as to rotate in linkage with the rotation of a paper feed tray which is rotatably provided at the flank of the image forming apparatus.

    摘要: An image forming apparatus transfers a toner image formed on a photoconductor drum onto a sheet-like recording member while the sheet-like recording member is transported and attracted to a transfer belt, and comprises a jam handling control unit for detecting a transport fault of the sheet-like recording member, and for stopping the transport operation when the transport fault is detected. When the transport fault is detected in a section other than a fixing section, the jam handling control unit first causes the transport operation of the fixing section, and thereafter causes the transfer belt and the transport operation on the upstream side thereof to stop, and any sheet-like recording member remaining on the transfer belt so that the transport mechanism on the upstream side thereof is transported and stopped at the position spanning between the area of the fixing section and the area of the transfer belt.

A contact block has a plurality of contacts on one surface for contacting a plurality of contact points, respectively which are provided on one surface side of the IC cared received inside the card slot. A supporting mechanism movably supports the contact block in the vertical direction to the one surface of the IC card received inside the card slot, swingingly around a first axis line which passes through the center of the plurality of contacts of the contact block in the inserting direction of the IC card, and swingingly around a second axis line which passes through the center of the plurality of contacts of the contact block in the inserting direction of the IC card. An elastic member abuts against the contact block at one point only and applies a force to press the plurality of contacts of the contact block against one surface side of the IC card. A point of the place to which the pressing force is applied by the elastic member exists on an axis line which passes a cross point between the first axis line and the second axis line and extends vertically.

The fixture attachments extend rearwards from the child seat. Each of these fixture attachments is provided with a lock bar, which can be detachably coupled to a fixture bar hanging across rear portions of left and right seat cushion frames. Furthermore, there is provided a child seat detector that detects whether or not the child seat has been mounted based on movements of the lock bars resulting from coupling of the fixture attachments to the fixture bar.

    摘要: According to the invention, the presence of a child seat mounted on a vehicle seat or the presence of a passenger seated in the vehicle seat is determined automatically. A child seat detecting apparatus incorporated into a vehicle seat is provided with a plurality of load sensors comprising stress sensors or the like, and a determining function for monitoring a relative change of each load detected by each load sensor and determining whether a child seat is mounted on the vehicle seat or whether a passenger is seated in the vehicle seat by the difference of the change of each load. Accordingly, this child seat detecting apparatus makes it possible to accurately determine whether a child seat is mounted on the vehicle seat or whether a person of small stature yet who does not require a child seat is seated in the vehicle seat.
