摘要: A breathing apparatus includes a source of compressed air and a lung demand valve that receives compressed air from the source. A pneumatic valve assembly is connected between the source and the lung demand valve. The pneumatic valve assembly is moveable between a first closed position that prevents a flow of compressed air to the lung demand valve and a second open position that provides a path for compressed air to flow to the lung demand valve. A mask receives the lung demand valve therein. The mask provides the compressed air to a user and having a first operational mode providing filtered ambient air to the user and a second operational mode providing compressed air to the user. A control device is coupled to the pneumatic valve assembly. The control device detects a condition in the air surrounding the apparatus and controlling the pneumatic valve assembly to move between the first closed and second open position and the mask to operate in a respective one of the first and second operational modes.

摘要: An apparatus and method is provided that identifies the presence or absence of a P-wave within a set of ECG data. A computation processor identifies the R-wave and then analyses a section of the waveform within a predetermined time window preceding the detected R-wave peak. The waveform within the window is analysed to identify a candidate P-wave, and in response to identifying the candidate P-wave a first and second feature associated therewith is measured. A composite feature value is calculated from the first and second measures, and compared to a classification threshold value. In an exemplary embodiment, the first feature represents a height between a highest peak of the candidate P-wave and a trough of the Q-wave, and the second feature represents a time between the peak of the candidate P-wave and a peak of the R-wave.

摘要: A first wireless connection is initiated between a station and a first access point (410). During this first wireless connection, data packet traffic is monitored from other access points (420). It is repeatedly determined (430), by the station using the monitored data packet traffic and during the first wireless connection, which of the other access points provides a best data transmission profile. Thereafter, the station automatically transitions (440) from the first wireless connection to a second wireless connection with the access point having the most recently determined best data transmission profile upon occurrence of a trigger event or a termination of the first wireless connection. 摘要: A method and apparatus for reducing gaps in data transmission between a device and at least one wireless access point connecting the first device to a central monitoring system. The device includes a radio that enables bidirectional data communication between the device and the at least one wireless access point, the radio being able to operate in a power save mode and an active transmission mode. A control processor selectively monitors a type and amount of data being transmitted between the radio and the at least one wireless access point to predict an occurrence of a gap in data transmission between the device and the at least one access point. The control processor, in response to predicting a gap in data transmission, automatically switches an operational mode of the radio from the power save mode to the active transmission mode for a predetermined amount of time enabling full bidirectional communication between the device and the at least one wireless access point for the predetermined amount of time preventing the gap in data transmission.

摘要: In one aspect, disclosed is a system including a first data acquisition device configured to be coupled to the patient to acquire clinical data and a patient-assigned monitor coupled to the first data acquisition device that includes a first wireless communication module and a monitor identification code. The system also includes an ambulatory patient device having an identification code reader configured to capture the monitor identification code, a second data acquisition device configured to acquire clinical data from the patient and a second wireless communication module. Capture of the monitor identification code by the identification code reader automatically initiates wireless pairing between the patient-assigned monitor and the ambulatory patient device. A repository stores form control data objects, each of the form control data objects enabling user data entry of information associated with a respective aspect of the healthcare interaction. A form processor acquires form control data objects associated with a particular healthcare interaction from the repository and generates form creation data including the acquired form control data objects and a formatting grid, the formatting grid receives at least one of the acquired form control data objects. A user interface generator generates a form creation user interface using the form creation data received from the form processor that enables a user to selectively position the at least one of the acquired form control data objects within the formatting grid in a desired position.
