Abstract:
A three-dimensional optical waveguide is formed by laminating planar substrates such as a plurality of lens substrates and, an isolator substrate and a wavelength division multiplexing filter, the optical substrates at least include a waveguide substrate having a waveguide and a reflecting surface. In the three-dimensional optical waveguide, the planar substrates are positioned by markers integrally formed on at least two of the planar substrates. Light directed into the waveguide is reflected by a reflecting surface and passes through the lens substrates and the isolator substrate.
Abstract:
A wireless communication terminal apparatus, a wireless communication base station apparatus, a wireless communication system and a telephone call connecting method wherein the message size in a telephone call connection can be reduced. A broadcast information producing part (203) assigns cell level information, which is preconfiguration information managed by the cell level, and PLMN level information, which is preconfiguration information managed by the PLMN level, to different transmission units to produce broadcast information, which is then broadcasted from a broadcast information transmitting part (204) to UEs. A preconfiguration usage deciding part (208) determines whether a UE, which sets a channel, can use a preconfiguration. If the UE can use a preconfiguration, a control information producing part (209) causes control information to include the corresponding index, and then the control information is transmitted from a control information transmitting part (210) to the UE.
Abstract:
To provide a portable terminal having a macro function which poses a little burden on a user at the time of performance of a macro function.A macro generation section 160 generates a macro (information showing a round of operation procedures of a portable terminal), and stores the macro into a storage section 150. An event generation section 161 defines an event which is to serve as an impetus for performance of a macro and registers the event into the storage section 150. An event/macro association generation section 162 generates an association table for associating a registered event with a registered macro, and registers the association table into the storage section 150. When an event which is to serve as an impetus has arisen, a macro execution section 163 automatically performs processing of a portable terminal according to a round of operation procedures represented by a macro corresponding to the event, by reference to the association table.
Abstract:
A plurality of PLC adapters, such as a master 21 and slaves 22, are connected to a power line 11, which forms a PLC logic network 16. Electric apparatuses 48, such as a television monitor and a video recorder, are connected to the master 21 and the slaves 22 through repeaters 31. The master 21 is a control terminal having the function of QoS controller. The master 21 allocates timeslots for transmitting data over a network, acquires information on the actual data transmission rate detected by a data receiving terminal, and modifies the timeslot allocated to target data on the basis of the acquired information on the actual data transmission rate.
Abstract:
The present invention provides a technique to optimize communication route when two end nodes separated away from own home perform data communication with each other. According to this technique, a communication node (the initiator node 174) adds a predetermined destination option including own home address to a header of a packet to be transmitted to a correspondent node (LFN 151) under control of MR 141. HA 121 of MR copies a predetermined destination option and inserts it into a tunnel packet header when this packet is tunneled to MR. When the packet is transferred to the communication node under control, MR checks, by using the server, whether the predetermined destination option is inserted into the tunnel packet header or not. If it is inserted into the packet, a route optimization processing is started with the transmitter of the packet including the predetermined destination option with home address.
Abstract:
A user is prompted to turn on power supply of a device to be connected with a screen. When it is detected that the power supply is turned on, the screen is displayed for confirming a user whether the device whose power supply is turned on should be connected or not. Thus, connection is carried out. With such a method, a communication connection method capable of selecting a device to be connected reliably is provided.
Abstract:
It is an object to improve a conventional point that mounting an electronic component that requires a high current and heat radiation, such as an LED, together with other general electronic components on the same board has been difficult. To achieve this object, a different thickness lead frame partially having different thicknesses is used. On a thick portion of the different thickness lead frame, a special electronic component, such as an LED, for which a high current and heat radiation are required is mounted. Further, a thin portion of the different thickness lead frame is formed at a fine pitch, and general electronic components are mounted at a high density on the thin portion. Thus, unitization or modularization of electronic components for which a high current and heat radiation are required becomes possible.
Abstract:
A wireless communication apparatus capable of being communicated by employing communication systems is provided with: communication units containing a system-A communication unit for performing a communication operation by a wireless signal using a GSM communication system, and a system-B communication unit for performing a communication operation by an wireless signal using a UMTS communication system; a power supply voltage detecting unit for detecting a voltage of a power supply applied to the communication units in a predetermined time period; and a power supply control unit operated in such a control manner that when the power supply voltage is lower than, or equal to the final voltage of the GSM communication system, the communication operation by the system-A communication unit is stopped, whereas the power supply voltage is higher than the final voltage of the UMTS communication system, the communication operation by the system-B communication unit is continuously carried out.
Abstract:
Provided a practical planar antenna device which has antenna elements facing each other, in which electrical power is fed between the antenna elements. The first feeding point is provided near an end of the first antenna element, which faces the opposite antenna element. The second feeding point is provided near an outer end of the second antenna element, by providing a second slit longer than the distance from the end of the second antenna element to its center. Since the feeding points are provided at the same level, the same electric field is excited in the two antenna elements in phase. The planar antenna device, to which electrical power is fed from the facing sides of the pair of opposite antenna elements, saves a bend conventionally required in a feed line, thereby allowing a wiring area to be smaller than in the conventional method.
