    摘要： Systems and methods for administering drugs to a patient, including a syringe system. The syringe system includes a plastic needle coupled to an end of a syringe barrel, the needle including a proximal taper and a distal taper. A cannula assembly is removably coupled to the plastic needle, the cannula including mating surfaces for the proximal and distal tapers of the plastic needle. The syringe system can also include a cannula cover with a first and second end with different sizes to respectively attach to the cannula assembly and the barrel when the cannula assembly is removed. The cannula may have a distal tip cut at an angle to ensure maximum removal of drug from a given vial.

    摘要： A medication delivery device comprises a housing having a proximal end (P) and a distal end (D), a cartridge for holding a medication (M), the cartridge having an outlet, a moveable piston being retained within the cartridge, a drive member moveable in a proximal direction with respect to the housing for setting a dose of medication (M) to be delivered and in the distal direction with respect to the housing for delivering the dose and a piston rod adapted to drive the piston in a distal direction with respect to the cartridge for delivering the dose. The drive member is releasably coupled to the piston rod. The medication delivery device further comprises a resilient member which is arranged to move the drive member in the proximal direction with respect to the housing after dose delivery, thereby reducing pressure of the piston rod on the piston.

    摘要： A method, and apparatus for transferring a fluid to a sterile field includes the use of a sterile enclosure (58, 68) housing a syringe (40). The enclosure (58, 68) is made in two parts, and allows the syringe (40) to be operated while it is in the enclosure. When it is desired to pass the fluids to the sterile field, the enclosure is separated into at least two parts to allow the syringe to be removed. This removal of the syringe is done such that the user in the non-sterile field does not touch the syringe. Thus, the syringe, and fluid therein are easily transferred to the sterile field.

    摘要： An injection device comprises a housing (101) to (104) containing a syringe (24). The contents of the syringe (24) are viewable through a window (14) in the mid-section (102) of the housing. The window (14) is concealed by a slideable shutter (12). The slideable shutter (12) is biased by a bias spring (22) which also biases an internal syringe carrier. Also disclosed is a reversible needle cap which operates initially to cap the front end of the housing and, upon removal thereof, pulls a needle sheath (30) off the syringe needle (26). The cap is designed to be reversible so that, after use, it can be reversed and reconnected to the housing to cover the exposed needle.
