Abstract:
An electrostatic collection device of particles in suspension in a gas including a collecting chamber with a collecting wall, part of which forms a collecting electrode. The collecting electrode faces a discharge electrode in the form of a wire, so as to create a corona discharge between the discharge electrode and the collecting electrode, the collecting wall extends to the periphery of the discharge electrode. The discharge electrode is maintained at a first end by a first holder and at the second end by a second holder, both holders made of electrically insulating material(s). At least one traversal wall protrudes from the collecting wall, and has a shape adapted to deflect the path of a liquid present in the gas and flowing on the collecting wall to the transversal wall such that it does not come into contact with the second holder.
Abstract:
An air filtration system includes a frame directing an airflow through the air filtration system and a media filter. The media filter includes a plurality of media fibers arranged to capture particles flowing therethrough and a conductive surface located at the media filter and having a conductivity within a selected range. Two or more contact pads are located at the media filter and are alignable with an electrical circuit located at the frame to determine whether a resistance across the conductive plane is within a selected resistance range. A method of installing a media filter in an air filtration system includes inserting the media filter into a frame of the air filtration system and aligning one or more contact pads of the media filter with one or more grounding pads of the frame. A resistance across the media filter is measured.
Abstract:
A hand dryer assembly including a blower assembly for generating a moving air stream. The moving air stream passes through an air channel to an air outlet where it exits the hand dryer assembly. An ionization assembly is disposed along the air channel and emits charged ions directly into the moving air stream, sanitizing the hands of the user, the moving air steam, and the ambient air that is entrained into the moving air stream.
Abstract:
An air purifier device includes a chamber defined by a side wall arranged to guide an air flow through the air purifier device. The air purifier device further includes at least one emitter electrode and at least one collector plate electrode arranged to ionize airborne particles. The at least one emitter electrode is arranged to extend from the side wall and inwards in the chamber and the at least one collector plate electrode is arranged to extend from the side wall and inwards in the chamber. The air purifier device enables the side wall to be manufactured from e.g. plastic, or other non-conductive or non-magnetic material. This in turn may enable a lower weight of the air purifier device and facilitated manufacturing, as the side walls of the chamber e.g. may be formed by plastic moulding just as many other parts of the air purifier device.
Abstract:
A single-region-board type high temperature electrostatic dust collector comprising anode boards (1), a cathode board (2), emitting electrodes (3) and a high voltage power supply is provided. Two parallel corrosion resistant plates are grounded to form the anode boards (1). One corrosion resistant plate with the same shape and size as the anode boards (1) connects to the cathode of the high voltage power supply, so as to form the cathode board (2), which are suspended between the two anode boards (1) and parallel with the anode boards (1). The disk-shaped emitting electrodes (3) are uniformly embedded at two sides of the cathode board (2).

An electrode support for an electrode of an electrically-enhanced air filtration system includes a conductor extending through the electrode support and electrically connectible to the electrode and to a power supply. An insulative layer is located around the conductor and the electrode support is configured to position the electrode in a frame of the air filtration system. An air filtration system includes a frame directing an airflow through the air filtration system and an electrode located in the frame. An electrode support positions the electrode in the frame and includes a conductor extending through the electrode support and electrically connected to the electrode and an insulative layer located around the conductor. An electrical power supply is electrically connected to the conductor to provide electrical power to the electrode.
Abstract:
An electrostatic precipitator including a charger to charge dust particles in air and a collector to collect the dust particles. The collector includes a collector case including high-voltage electrodes, to which high-voltage is applied, low-voltage electrodes alternately stacked with the high-voltage electrodes so as to be grounded, and first electrode support elements to support the high-voltage and low-voltage electrodes with a distance therebetween. The first electrode support elements include electrode contact terminals to support extreme edge portions of the high-voltage and low-voltage electrodes. The high-voltage and low-voltage electrodes are formed of a conductive material, or a non-conductive material, the surface of which is subjected to conductive treatment. The electrode contact terminals for the high-voltage electrodes are formed of a semiconductive material. Accordingly, it is possible to maintain a constant distance between the electrodes and to prevent insulation breakdown without deterioration in the performance of the collector.
