The plastic layer is made of plastic based on polyethylene (PE) or plastic based on polypropylene (PP), and the predetermined tearing line is introduced into the plastic layer preferably by means of a CO2 laser. The predetermined tearing line (3) may be provided directly in the region of the sealing edge (10).

摘要： A resealable and disposable package assembly is described. The assembly includes a container and a multilayer cover laminate that are bonded to one another to initially seal the contents of the package. The package can then be easily opened by at least partially separating the cover laminate along a predesignated interface. The package can be reliably and effectively sealed by recontacting the previously separated cover portions to one another.

The cover is secured to the receptacle by a permanent connection that can be disconnected when the packaging is opened only by being broken, which connection is advantageously constituted by a discrete number of breakable tampering indicators. The invention also provides a method of manufacturing such packaging for long-term storage of food.

摘要： A tray-lid assembly comprises a tray and a lid. The tray includes a bottom panel, a continuous wall panel, and a continuous rim. The continuous wall panel encompasses the bottom panel and extends upwardly from the bottom panel. The continuous rim encompasses an upper edge of the continuous wall panel and projects laterally outwardly therefrom. The lid includes an upper surface and a lower surface. The lower surface of the lid is detachably connected to the continuous rim. The lid has a first inside cut score formed in the lower surface of the lid. The lid has an outside cut score formed in the upper surface of the lid. The outside cut score bridges the periphery of the lid at two points to divide the lid into a main section and a relatively small corner tab. The first inside cut score and the outside cut score are generally parallel and in proximity to each other. The first inside cut score and the outside cut score form a rev cut such that the lid delaminates in a first delamination region between the first inside cut score and the outside cut score in response to pressing down on the corner tab. Additional inside cut scores are preferably provided to facilitate removal of the corner tab from the tray.

摘要： A container for holding contact lenses in contact lens treatment solutions which has a base member equipped with at least one compartment. Each compartment has a predetermined length and width situated in a juxtaposed position with a partition thereinbetween for holding the contact lens and a laterally projecting flange around the perimeter of the compartment. Each compartment is filled with a contact lens treatment solution. A layer of adhesive is deposited on the laterally projecting flange. A cover sheet member extending at least across the full length and width of the compartment is releaseably united to the base member at the flange by the layer of adhesive forming a fluid-tight seal. The layer of adhesive is capable of uniting the cover sheet member and the base member at the flange and forming a fluid-tight seal after repeated uniting and releasing between the two members. In an alternate embodiment, a sliding cover is used to slidingly engage the flange achieving a fluid-tight seal. The container may suitably be used to clean, disinfect, and rinse contact lenses for only once or for many times by the opening and the resealing of the container.

摘要： A flanged tray and preform for making it. The preform includes a cut and scored paperboard blank having a polygonal bottom forming base panel. Each edge of the base is foldably joined to a radially outwardly extending, regular trapezoidal sidewall forming panel. The radially outermost portion of each sidewall panel carries a horizontal flange forming flap. The preform also includes a thin plastic sheet adhered to one surface of the paperboard blank. The plastic sheet covers the blank and extends over radially extending gaps between the side edges of next adjacent sidewall panels. The preform is placed in a female die with the plastic film facing upwardly. A male die presses the preform downwardly to form it into a tray having a peripheral, horizontally extending flange. The step of permanently attaching the plastic film to the paperboard blank may be carried out concurrently with the step of deforming the blank in the die. The plastic film secures the sidewalls together and provides a liquid impervious coating on the tray interior surfaces. The tray may be provided with a paperboard lid having a tear off portion. The tray and lid exhibit utility for the packaging of foods. A layer of polymer barrier film is sealed over the formed tray to provide barriers to oxygen and water vapor. In a modification, integral gussets are provided between next adjacent side edges of the sidewalls.
