Abstract: A washing machine appliance includes an additive reservoir positioned below a top panel of the washing machine appliance for receiving large quantities of a first fluid additive, such as detergent. In addition, the additive reservoir defines an additive passageway that extends through the additive reservoir and is configured for receiving a second fluid additive, such as bleach, and directing that additive directly into a tub of the washing machine appliance. In this manner, bulk detergent and an additional additive may be added into the washing machine appliance without requiring the manufacturing and assembly of two separate parts which must be installed within the limited space under the top panel of the washing machine appliance.

In one example, the clothing treatment device may comprise a chamber which may be evacuated to a low internal air pressure by a vacuum pump and/or a cold plate, wherein fabric articles placed inside the chamber may be washed and dried, and wherein the drying occurs under low pressure conditions within the chamber via one or more heat sources. In at least one example, the fabric articles may be hanging within the chamber.

The washing machine further includes a current sensor that is configured to measure a current supplied from the motor driver to the motor. The washing machine further includes a speed sensor. The washing machine further includes a water level sensor. The washing machine further includes a main controller that is configured to start or stop operation of the motor by supplying a control command.

Abstract: Disclosed herein are a turbidity sensor and a control method thereof, and more particularly, to a turbidity sensor capable of measuring turbidity of water including a liquid detergent as well as water including a powdered detergent and a control method thereof. The turbidity sensor includes a first light emitting unit emitting visible light, a first light receiving unit disposed opposite to the first light emitting unit at a position spaced apart from the first light emitting unit and receiving visible light emitted from the first light emitting unit, and a control unit determining a turbidity of a solution according to a ratio between the amount of visible light emitted from the first light emitting unit and the amount of visible light received by the first light receiving unit. According to the turbidity sensor and control method thereof, turbidity of the solution by the first and second particles is accurately measured.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and computer program products for wirelessly communicating with various system controllers of a facility through a wireless interface module. A mobile computing device may wirelessly connect with the wireless interface module to transmit information to and receive information from the wireless interface module.
