摘要: Embodiments of negative pressure wound therapy systems and methods are disclosed. In one embodiment, an apparatus includes a wound dressing, negative pressure source, user interface, sensor, and control circuitry. The user interface can receive an activation input. The sensor can detect whether the wound dressing is positioned over a wound. The control circuitry can cause supply of negative pressure in response to receipt of the activation input and a determination that the sensor detects that the wound dressing is positioned over the wound. In addition, the control circuitry can prevent supply of negative pressure in response to a determination that the sensor does not detect that the wound dressing is positioned over the wound.

摘要: Methods and system are provided for thermally-induced renal neuromodulation. Thermally-induced renal neuromodulation may be achieved via direct and/or via indirect application of thermal energy to heat or cool neural fibers that contribute to renal function, or of vascular structures that feed or perfuse the neural fibers. In some embodiments, parameters of the neural fibers, of non-target tissue, or of the thermal energy delivery element, may be monitored via one or more sensors for controlling the thermally-induced neuromodulation. In some embodiments, protective elements may be provided to reduce a degree of thermal damage induced in the non-target tissues. In some embodiments, thermally-induced renal neuromodulation is achieved via delivery of a pulsed thermal therapy.

摘要: A method in which a nerve associated with a spasticity in a limb of a patient may be identified. The cryogenic cooling needle may be inserted through a skin surface. The cryogenic cooling needle may be positioned to a target tissue such that the distal end of the cryogenic cooling needle is proximate to the nerve by bending the needle, wherein the needle has varying stiffness at a proximal portion and a distal portion. A treatment cycle may be delivered to a target tissue proximate to the nerve, the treatment cycle may comprise a cooling phase wherein cooling fluid flows into the lumen so that liquid from the cooling fluid flow vaporizes within the lumen to provide cooling to the nerve so as to treat spasticity.

摘要: A thermal pack including: a pouch having a thermal material; covers for covering the pouch. The covers having field portions and first and second bonding edges peripherally outside the first and second field portions. A bendable and deformable support ring formed of sheet metal is disposed between the first and second bonding edges. The pouch is retained between the first and second covers by: at least indirect bonding of a first inner surface of the first bonding edge to a first side surface of the support ring and at least indirect bonding of a second inner surface of the second bonding edge to a second side surface of the support ring; and/or sewing an inner periphery of the first bonding edge to an inner periphery of the second bonding edge and/or an outer periphery of the first bonding edge to an outer periphery of the second bonding edge.

摘要: A neck fan, configured to be worn around a neck of a user, includes: an inner shell, disposed near the neck; an outer shell, connected to the inner shell and disposed opposite to the inner shell and away from the neck, wherein the outer shell and the inner shell cooperatively define a receiving space; a plurality of fan assemblies. Each fan assembly is received in the receiving space and connected to the inner shell and the outer shell. Each of the inner shell and the outer shell defines a plurality of air inlets, each fan assembly corresponds to both the air inlets in the inner shell and the air inlets in the outer shell, each of the plurality of fan assemblies is configured to intake air from an outside of the neck fan into the receiving space through the corresponding plurality of air inlets.
