A detailed audit trail of each event in the distribution and response lifecycle is constructed using data matching methods and various statistics regarding the lifecycle, such that the response habits of notice recipients are formulated.

摘要： The present invention is concerned with a machine which manufactures substantially U-shaped handles for attachment to bags or bag making stock so as to provide a bag with substantially U-shaped handles attached. The substantially U-shaped handles are manufactured from paper strip which is divided longitudinally into further paper strips which are fed to separate former drums. Here, substantially U-shaped handles are formed and attached to bags, thereby producing handled bags. The substantially U-shaped handles are concurrently attached to either side of the preformed bags or bag making stock. The former drum makes use of a mechanical gripper means and a raised rail guide so as to hold the substantially U-shaped handles to the former drum and maintain the folded position of the legs of the handle once folded over. The preformed bags are supplied by a removable bag supply unit or alternatively a continuous feed of preformed bags or bag making stock. A combination of a mechanical gripper and air under pressure is used to remove the bags from the bag supply unit. The bag making machine of the present invention may be accessed by opening an entire side of the machine.

摘要： A method of forming a plurality of easy to open handle bags including the steps of providing a flattened tube of thermoplastic material oriented in a generally longitudinal direction. The flattened tube has a first longitudinal side edge and a second longitudinal side edge, a transverse lower heat seal, and a transverse upper heat seal. The tube also has first, second, and third sections. The second section being disposed between the first and third sections. The first section is joined to the second section along a generally longitudinal first fold line. The second section is joined to the third section along a generally longitudinal second fold line. The second section is cut along a generally transverse first cut line extending between the first and second fold lines. The first section is folded over the second section along the first fold line. The third section is folded over the previously folded-over first section along the second fold line such that the first, second, and third sections overlap one another. The overlapped first, second, and third sections are cut along a generally longitudinal second cut line that intersects the first cut line, the first fold line, and the second side edge at one end and intersects the upper heat seal at the other end. The overlapped first, second, and third sections are then cut along a generally longitudinal third cut line that intersects the first cut line, the second fold line, and the first side edge at one end and intersects the upper heat seal at the other end.

摘要： A pack of self-opening plastic T-shirt bags for use with a bagging rack. Each plastic bag in the pack of bags has a mouth tab portion between its two upwardly extending handles, which are at the sides of the mouth of the T-shirt bags. The mouth tab portion is located on the front and rear walls in the mouth region of the plastic bags. The mouth tab portion has an aperture for receiving a retaining projection of a bagging rack. Frangible pressure bonding is formed along the perimeter of said mouth aperture. Flapless handle apertures are also formed in the handles, with frangible pressure bonds formed along their perimeter edges. Due to the frangible bonding formed between adjacent bags, as a frontmost bag is removed from the pack of bags on the bagging rack, the next bag in the pack of bags will automatically self-open into a open position for loading with merchandise. The frangible bonding is formed with dies having a die portion with a cutting edge and having a compression portion, with a generally blunt leading edge, positioned in close proximity to the die portion.

摘要： An apparatus and a method for attaching at least one carrying handle to a bag, such as a shopping bag, grocery bag, or the like. Individual handles are severed from a continuous web of handle material. Bags are conveyed at a predetermined velocity, with a longitudinal axis of each bag substantially perpendicular to the bag's direction of travel. Each carrying handle is transported proximate a front or back surface of an associated bag, and in a direction of travel wherein a longitudinal axis of the carrying handle is substantially parallel to the direction of travel of the bag, and substantially perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the bag. The handle is transported at a velocity substantially equal to the predetermined velocity of the bag. The handle is applied to the bag when a handle accepting region of the bag contacts an attachment panel portion of the carrying handle.

The method includes the steps of forming a continuous collapsed tube; forming pairs of closely spaced seals transverse to the tube at bag length distances apart; forming a transverse line of weakness between each pair of seals; simultaneously or thereafter folding the marginal edges of the tube inwardly toward each other; forming and removing a cut-out region at one end of each sealed segment of the tube so that on removal of the cut-out region, the cut defines loop handles and a bag mouth region in each bag; again folding the marginal edges of the tube inwardly toward each other; and convolutely winding the structure to form severable bags on a roll.
