    摘要: An identification system and method are provided for aircraft equipped with electric taxi systems for autonomous ground movement that enables airport ground personnel and others outside the aircraft to safely and easily identify the aircraft moving on ground surfaces at an airport as equipped with a pilot-controlled electric taxi system and to distinguish these aircraft from aircraft not moved by electric taxi systems. The identification system may be mounted with nose or main landing gear drive wheels supporting the electric taxi system. The identification system includes an identifying lighting system with lighting elements of a selected number, shape, color, or arrangement positioned on at least a visible face of one or more landing gear wheels. Automatic or manual controls may actuate the identification system to identify electric taxi system-equipped aircraft when the aircraft are moved with the electric taxi system or are stopped.

    摘要: A method for aiding the landing of an aircraft on a landing runway comprising the following steps implemented in an automatic manner by a processing unit: a) acquiring information relating to the landing runway; b) acquiring information relating to a current situation of the aircraft; f) determining a maximum roll angle, in absolute value, necessary to allow a flight of the aircraft along a trajectory between a current position and a target landing position on the landing runway; g) comparing this maximum roll angle with a predetermined limit; and h) as a function of the result of the comparison carried out in step g), commanding, if appropriate, the signaling of an alert by means of a signaling system of the aircraft.

    摘要: The aircraft landing clearance indication system is constructed of a faceplate that is adapted to be secured against a surface in a cockpit. The faceplate includes a front surface that includes instructions as to operation of the system. A push button is mounted on the front surface of the faceplate. Depression of the push button illuminates the push button providing an instantaneous feedback as to the authorization of the respective airplane to land on a runway. Once the airplane has landed, the push button is depressed a second time in order to reset itself for future use. The aircraft landing clearance indication system is used during the landing checklist.

    摘要: A method can include determining that an aircraft is on approach to a runway. The method can include determining a flight path vector (FPV) location of the aircraft based at least in part on a projected landing location with respect to the runway and determining a current airspeed of the aircraft. The method can also include performing at least one of the following: issuing a landing short alert to a pilot of the aircraft if the FPV location is at or before the runway threshold, issuing an airspeed caution alert if the FPV location is between the runway threshold and the target runway location and if the current airspeed is below a landing short envelope, and determining not to issue an alert if the FPV location is between the runway threshold and the target runway location and if the current airspeed is at or above the landing short envelope.
