摘要: Provided is an initial break-in lubricant composition capable of easily and economically reducing the coefficient of friction of a sliding portion. The initial break-in lubricant composition includes an organic dispersion medium and nanocarbon particles in a quantity from 0.1 to 2000 ppm by mass. The nanocarbon particles are preferably particles of one or more nanocarbon material(s) selected from the group consisting of: nanodiamonds, fullerenes, graphene oxide, nanographite, carbon nanotubes, carbon nanofilaments, onion-like carbon, diamond-like carbon, amorphous carbon, carbon black, carbon nanohorns, and carbon nanocoils.

摘要: Newly discovered allotrope of carbon having a multilayered nanocarbon array exhibits among other properties exceptional stability, electrical conductivity and electromagnetic frequency (emf) attenuation characteristics. Members of this new allotrope include nanocarbon structures possessing vast electron delocalization in multiple directions unavailable to known fullerene-characterized materials like carbon nano-onions (CNOs), multiwalled carbon nano-tubes (MWNTs), graphene, carbon nano-horns, and carbon nano-ellipsoids such that stabilizing electron delocalization crosses or proceeds between layers as well as along layers in multiple directions within a continuous cyclic structure having an advanced interlayer connectivity bonding system involving the whole carbon array apart from incidental defects.

摘要: A super-lubricity water lubricating additive, a super-lubricity water lubricant, a preparation method and application, wherein the additive is of a hollow spherical shell structure which includes at least one layer of spherical shell; the spherical shell sequentially includes a first polydopamine layer, a nanoparticle layer, a second polydopamine layer and an oxidized graphene layer from inside to outside, or a first polydopamine layer, a nanoparticle layer, a second polydopamine layer, a graphene layer and a third polydopamine layer from inside to outside; and nanoparticles of the nanoparticle layer are nano diamond, nano molybdenum disulfide or nano tungsten disulfide. The additive is prepared into a uniform aqueous solution to obtain the super-lubricity water lubricant. The additive can be easily adsorbed on a dual surface, and the nanoparticles released in a friction process cooperate with spherical oxidized graphene or graphene to form rolling friction so as to reduce frictional abrasion.

摘要: An engine oil additive includes carbon nanotubes and boron nitride particulates dispersed within a fluid. The additive is configured to be mixed with a quantity of oil such that the quantity of oil has a concentration from 0.05 to 0.5 grams of carbon nanotubes and of boron nitride particulates per quart of oil to improve the lubricity of the oil. The additive improves the horsepower and torque of the engine while reducing fuel consumption. The carbon nanotubes have an —OH functionalized exterior surface. The carbon nanotubes have a diameter from 1 nanometer to 50 nanometers and have a length from 1 micron to 1000 microns. The boron nitride particulates are hex-boron nitride structures having an average size from 30 nanometers to 500 nanometers.

The dispersant resins may comprise a polymeric dispersant resin comprising an addition polymer comprising the residue of a vinyl heterocyclic amide, an addition polymer comprising a homopolymer, a block (co)polymer, a random (co)polymer, an alternating (co)polymer, a graft (co)polymer, a brush (co)polymer, a star (co)polymer, a telechelic (co)polymer, or a combination thereof. The solvents may be aqueous, non-aqueous, inorganic and/or organic solvents. The dispersions are highly stable and may contain relatively high loadings of the graphenic carbon nanoparticles.
