    摘要: There is provided a golf cart capable of repairing surfaces of fairways not manually but automatically. The golf cart is equipped with an image-taking device 31 for taking images of surface conditions on the fairways, a container 32 for accommodating joint soil, an image processing means 41 for recognizing exposed soil surfaces on the fairways based on image information imported from the image-taking device 31, and a repairing means 44 for dropping the joint soil within the container 32 on the exposed soil surfaces recognized by the image processing means 41. Thus, as the cart is moving on the fairways, every time the image processing means 41 recognizes the exposed soil surface, the repairing means 44 drops down the joint soil within the container 32 on the exposed soil surface.

    摘要: The present invention provides an isolated biocontrol agent, or a biocontrol composition, comprising, at least one Pseudomonas strain that exhibits weed suppressive activity. Preferably, the biocontrol composition comprises an acceptable medium such as a liquid culture medium, a solid culture medium, a seed coating, pesta, peat prill, vermiculite, clay, starch, wheat straw, or any combination thereof. The biocontrol agent or biocontrol composition may be used to suppress the growth of a weed. The weed may be selected from the group consisting of green foxtail (Setaria viridis [L.] Beauv.), foxtail barley (Hordeum jubatum), crabgrass (Digitaria sanguinalis), annual ryegrass (Lolium rigidum), barnyard grass (Echinochloa crusgalli), yellow foxtail (Setaria glauca), Italian rye grass (Lolium multiflorum), Goose grass (Eleusine indica), and wild oat (Avena fatua). Furthermore, the biocontrol agent or composition may be applied to soil before, during or after planting crops in the soil.

    摘要: The present invention provides a system for providing a seed grower with conditioned seed for planting the following cropping cycle from a portion of the harvested crop from a single seed production field. In one embodiment, the system includes an agreement between the seed production company and seed grower to plant and produce a varietal crop for seed purposes with specific genetic characteristics. The seed grower is initially furnished with source seed from the seed production company that matches these specified genetic characteristics and required to meet defined process specifications and results. At appropriate corresponding times during the planting, growing and harvesting processes, a seed production company representative and/or grower may inspect the seed grower's seed source, planting, cultivating, machinery, transport and storage. The results of these inspections, along with recorded seed grower information and data are put into a database which is used to track the criteria the seed grower and seed production company will reference to determine if conditioned seed fulfills agreement specifications. An ensuing agreement is negotiated each subsequent year between the seed production company and the seed grower to allow the seed grower to select a specified conditioned portion of the crop harvested from his/her seed production field for purchasing for planting the following cropping cycle.

    摘要: The cultivation of terrestrial plants in brackish water or seawater is carried out with this invention. A light-weight, floating growth medium package (FGMP) or, alternatively, a sheet of suitable material is used to support the growth of terrestrial plants floating on water bodies of various salinity, including 100% seawater in marine environments. The FGMP units can be linked together and confined in a floating, rigid or flexible framework to form a floating seawater cultivation platform (FSCP). Using the method, plants were able to grow and thrive on the FSCP floating on 100% seawater in a sustainable manner. Halophytic akulikuli (Sesuvium portulacastrum L.) can regenerate its shoot and root in seawater. Thus, the discovery will enable us to practice marine agriculture, or agriculture on the sea. The FSCP can be used for wide range of purposes, from environmental protection to landscaping to crop production.
