摘要: A respiratory interface device includes a respiratory mask that interfaces with a face of a patient. The respiratory mask comprises a body portion that forms an enclosure around a nose of a patient and at least one set of headgear strap flanges. The body portion is substantially entirely manufactured from an elastomeric material. A bellows-like structure is integrally molded in the body portion to create a sealing interface between an inner bottom portion of the mask and the patient's nose.

摘要: An inflatable isolating cabin is provided for a patient to be isolated, and especially for a patient to be moved or transported, and the cabin can be formed after being inflated and collapsed into a solid form convenient for storage. It comprises a very tough and soft base, a flexible outer hood, an inflatable supporting structure, and a filtering means. Wherein a part of the periphery of the outer hood is fixedly connected with the base, and the other part is detachably connected with the base; the inflatable supporting structure is provided with at least one inflation inlet hole and after the inflation of the supporting structure, the outer hood is unfolded away from the base to form the cabin to allow a patient to lie therein.

摘要: An interlock vessel having an air-tight body with opposing ends. A portion of the body is designed to fit into a decompression (hyperbaric) chamber, wherein a diver or a patient undergoing a decompression treatment is positioned. The opposing ends are closed by pivotally moveable doors and locking assemblies that retain the doors in a closed position until the pressure inside the decompression chamber and the exterior of the chamber can be equalized. The outer door has two locking systems: (a) an interlock system and (b) a safety/delay locking system. Both locking assemblies are manually operated.

摘要: A physical fitness system incorporating aspects of scuba diving and hyperbaric pressure therapy is described. An enclosure, such as a cage or elevator, is selectively placed in a body of water, such as an ocean, lake, river, or pool, wherein one or more individuals can remain or exercise (e.g., scuba dive) there, for a sufficient period of time and for a sufficient number of times in order to realize a health benefit, such as reduced weight, reduced blood pressure, increased metabolic rate, increased energy levels, and/or the like. Additionally, hyperbaric pressure therapy can also be employed in conjunction with the use of the enclosure. For example, the enclosure, such as a swimming pool, can be situated in a selectively sealable structure. The structure is first sealed and then the pressure inside the structure is raised to a sufficient level to produce a hyperbaric pressure state therein. The individuals in the water-filled enclosure would then remain or exercise there for a sufficient period of time and for a sufficient number of times to realize a health benefit. An oxygen-rich air environment can also be provided in the sealed structure, as well.

摘要: A treatment for the persons infected with viruses such as HIV. The method takes advantage of the anesthetic membrane effect brought about by certain gases under pressure. A patient infected with HIV, for example, is placed in a pressurized chamber and exposed to one or more gases under pressure in this environment, molecules or compounds bind to specific attachment sites on surfaces of host cells and on the virus. These attachment sites are the same sites that are required by the virus to attach to host cells during the virus's replication process. The result is that viruses are prevented from replicating. In the case of HIV, without replication, the virus is also prevented from mutating. This deleterious effect on the virus allows the body's immune system to reconstitute itself in numbers sufficient to cause clinical remission. The present method generally comprises the steps of selecting the gases, pressures and duration to be used inside a pressurized chamber, and exposing the patient to the selected conditions.

摘要: An enclosure is provided that is adapted for mobile transport to a training site. In one embodiment, the enclosure includes a laboratory section equipped with medical equipment and instrumentation. In another embodiment, a supply of non-living anatomic material is provided for conducting one or more training activities in the laboratory section to provide training to medical personnel. A supply relationship may be established with an anatomic material supplier to satisfy training activity requirements. In yet another embodiment, the enclosure includes a conference section sized to accommodate a group of medical personnel and equipped with audio/visual equipment and/or other training aids. The conference section and the laboratory section may be linked by an electronic communication system. A satellite communication system may be included to provide visual communication between the training site and a remote site. The conference and laboratory sections may include one or more expandable side portions to selectively enlarge the enclosure.
