摘要: Systems and methods for breathing training and methods to monitor their use are disclosed. According to an aspect, a breathing training monitoring system may include a gas passageway that is occluded or connected to a RMT device for receipt of input from a patient. Further, the system may include a gas pressure transducer configured to measure gas pressure within the gas passageway. The system may include a breathing activity monitor configured to determine whether a breathing activity has been accomplished based on the measure of gas pressure. The breathing activity monitor may also present an indication that the breathing activity has been accomplished in response to determining that the breathing activity has been accomplished.

摘要: An apparatus, breathing equipment training device, and method for breathing equipment training. The apparatus includes a shell and a diaphragm. The shell includes a first opening and a second opening. The first opening is configured to be inserted into a breathing opening in a mask to form a connection with the breathing opening of the mask. The diaphragm is inside the shell and positioned about the second opening. The diaphragm is configured to impede airflow into the shell through the second opening. The first opening can be defined by a first ellipse insertable into the breathing opening of the mask. The second opening can be defined by a second ellipse through which airflow enters into the shell. A diameter of the second ellipse can be greater than a diameter of the first ellipse.

摘要: An apparatus and methods for air filtration are disclosed. The apparatus includes a body and first and second replaceable filters. The body of the apparatus further contains an air-exchange assembly and a filter receiver attached to the air exchange assembly. The air-exchange assembly contains an exhaust tube with an open end and a closed end, two wings on opposite sides of the exhaust tube, and an intake check valve and an exhaust check valve inside the exhaust tube. The first replaceable filter surrounds the filter receiver; and the second replaceable filter is inside the filter receiver. Several apertures and the check valves are strategically disposed in the exhaust tube to achieve optimal air filtration and avoid contamination of a user's exhaust.

摘要: The present invention provides a sports mask for breathing training. The sports mask includes a head assemble containing clips to hold the mask against the head. The sports mask further includes a face band assembly that includes straps that are received by the clips present on the head assembly to hold the face assembly against the face of a user. The face assembly includes a face mask unit comprising an airflow valve. The airflow valve includes an airflow resistance varying module that helps in varying flow of air into the airflow valve. The control of airflow resistance varying module can be either manual or automatic when the mask is connected to a wearable device or a vital parameter collection device.

摘要: A method of rebreathing for a human, comprising: breathing through a rebreathing device for up to 20 minutes at a time, repeated as needed; wherein said rebreathing device has a form of a) cylindrical form made by rolling a sheet of paper, and able to fit snugly over either the mouth or the nose of a human in need of rebreathing; b) cylindrical form made with a cardboard tube from a toilet paper roll; c) cylindrical form made with a cardboard tube from a paper towel roll; d) cylindrical form made from a washable, re-useable, solid tube and able to fit snugly over either the mouth or the nose; e) rectilinear form made from a paper bag made of absorbent paper, at least 5 inches long [=12.7 cm] for adults, that is modified by i) cutting or tearing horizontally to shorten the bag so the remaining bag is approximately 5 to 7 inches [12.7 to 17.8, cm] tall, and ii) folding over one corner of the rectangular bottom approximately 1 inch [=2.5 cm] and cutting or tearing it off to make a hole approximately 1.5 inch [=3.8 cm] in diameter to allow rebreathing when worn over the nose and mouth; f) triangular form folded in the shape of a mask able to cover both nose and mouth made from i) a sheet of paper size 8.5×11 inches [=21.6×28 cm], A-10, or any larger sheet of newspaper folded down to this size, or made by folding a foil-lined snack-food bag of approximately 6×10 inches [=15.2×25.4 cm]; or g) conical form made from a paper, foam or plastic disposable cup, into which a hole is made in the bottom about 1 inch [=2.5 cm], which need not need to be centered, so that the original cup opening may be placed over the nose and mouth and pushed lightly against the face so that it forms a snug seal all around.
