摘要: A method for providing an enhanced sports training experience comprising providing a user with a wearable near-eye display, capturing an image in a user's field of vision, detecting the presence of a basketball hoop in the image, the basketball hoop having an associated backboard, using an image processor to determine a three dimensional position of the hoop relative to the near-eye display, calculating an ideal trajectory between the user and the hoop, whereby a basketball following the trajectory will pass through the basketball hoop, determining the apex of the trajectory, and displaying on the near-eye display, a visual graphic at the trajectory apex, the visual graphic representing a target.

摘要: Embodiments of the present invention are directed to an adjustable-incline climbing wall. The climbing wall comprises one or more climbing panels supported by a frame and a system for adjusting the incline of the frame to provide a climbing wall of a desired incline. The incline of the climbing wall may be adjusted by activating an actuator, which extends the upper portion of the frame a distance from a support wall, tilting the climbing wall to a desired incline. When the climbing wall is substantially vertically oriented, the system for adjusting the incline of the climbing wall may extend only a small distance from the support wall so that the adjustable-incline climbing wall has a relatively small footprint. In some embodiments, the climbing wall may also include one or more fitness accessories that can brought to an optimal height for a particular user through adjustment of the climbing wall incline.

摘要: A computer-implemented American soccer training and evaluation method that includes subjecting a drilling user to predefined drilling protocol(s) of a plurality of American soccer drilling assemblies and obtain, from each pre-defined drilling protocol(s) of the plurality of American soccer drilling assemblies and from at least one sensor on each of the assemblies, at least one user physical characteristic of the drilling user. The user physical characteristic is communicated to an administrative server over a network, where it is stored and used to create a drilling user performance profile having individualized performance comparisons with respect to the at least one user physical characteristic of the drilling user and a performance benchmark. Then, the drilling user performance profile is communicated to at least one of a plurality of electronic computing devices of a plurality of consuming users for evaluation and review.

摘要: Virtual and augmented reality sports training environments are disclosed. A user interacts with virtual players in a simulated environment of a virtual reality sporting event. In some embodiments, the user's actions and decisions are monitored by the simulated environment. The environment evaluates the user's performance, and provides performance feedback based on the user's decisions and timing. In one application, real life pitchers and their pitching data are tracked and replicated in a simulated pitching environment. A team of users may practice against a simulation of a pitcher they are about to compete against, swinging at pitches that they would see in a real game. Such environments may maximize effective practice time for users, and help develop better players with improved decision-making skills. Some embodiments include various pitch recognition training, which may be against replicated real-life pitchers.

摘要: An electronic training system includes external response sensors that detect and measure changes on the user's body, internal response sensors that measure internal changes within the user's body, a stimulus device, and control circuitry. The control circuitry tracks and analyzes data from the response sensors and stimulus device to evaluate and provide feedback on the user's sports performance. The system receives input regarding the user's current and target sports performance states and retrieves relevant stimuli from a sports knowledge database. It then determines a set of test stimuli specific to the user and controls the stimulus device to provide these stimuli. The system calibrates the stimulus parameters based on the user's responses and current/target performance states. It creates digital environments to enhance performance and determines whether alterations are needed in the training plan. The system communicates training recommendations to the user's coach, based on the identified changes and performance indicators.

摘要: A head positioning device for athletic training is provided. The device includes an elongated rigid rod with a hand grip attached on one end and a flexible joint attached to the other end to allow for rotational pivoting motion. A head gripping apparatus is attached to the flexible joint and allows a coach or trainer to guide the head position of an athlete learning proper head positioning for a particular athletic activity. The device is unique in that it incorporates active feedback from a coach or trainer to an athlete regarding proper head positioning.
