Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) receives, from a base station, an indication of a configuration for symbol repetition, the configuration including one or more parameters for transmitting a message on a physical uplink channel. The UE formats, based on a first format of the configuration, a first portion of a set of repetitions of the message scheduled for transmission before a slot boundary, and formats, based on a second format of the configuration, a second portion of the set of repetitions of the message scheduled for transmission after the slot boundary, the second portion being a single symbol. The UE transmits, to the base station, the first portion of the set of repetitions formatted according to the first format and the second portion of the set of repetitions according to the second format.

Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure relate to wireless communications, and more particularly, to techniques for managing uplink power control in accordance with priority-specific beta factors. An example method for wireless communication performed by a user equipment (UE) generally includes determining a value of a beta factor based on a priority level of uplink control information (UCI) to be transmitted on a physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH); and transmitting the UCI on the PUSCH with transmit power determined based, at least in part, on the value of beta factor. Another example method performed by a UE generally includes deciding, when the UE is configured to perform demodulation reference signal (DMRS) bundling across PUSCH repetitions, whether to prioritize the DMRS bundling or transmission of UCI multiplexed in one of the PUSCH repetitions; and transmitting the PUSCH repetition with the multiplexed UCI in accordance with the decision.

Abstract: Techniques are described herein for determining a priority ranking for channel state information (CSI) reports based at least in part on a reliability parameter, a latency parameter, or both of resources allocated to a user equipment (UE). In some wireless communications systems, ultra reliable low latency communication (URLLC) services may be interspersed with enhanced mobile broadband (eMBB) services. The UE may perform a CSI report prioritization procedure to account for reliability parameters, latency parameters or both. In some cases, CSI reporting for resources associated URLLC services may receive higher priority than CSI reporting for eMBB services. The UE may be configured to determine reliability parameters and/or latency parameters based on signaling received from the network or from determining changes to one or more configurations of the UE. In some cases, the priority ranking of the CSI report may be based at least in part on a slot set identifier.

Abstract: Disclosed are techniques for wireless communication. In an aspect, a method, performed by a network node, for selection of uplink control information (UCI) transmission format, comprises determining whether to use a coherent transmission; upon determining to use a coherent transmission, selecting a coherent transmission format for UCI transmission. Upon determining not to use a coherent transmission the method further includes determining whether to use an orthogonal sequence: upon determining to use an orthogonal sequence, the method includes selecting a non-coherent transmission format with an orthogonal sequence for UCI transmission; upon determining not to use an orthogonal sequence, the method includes selecting a non-coherent transmission format with a non-orthogonal sequence for UCI transmission. The method further includes using the selected format for UCI transmission. For example, a base station may send the selected format for UCI transmission to a UE, or a UE may select and use the UCI transmission format.

Abstract: Aspects relate to cross-carrier scheduling in wireless communication. A scheduling entity generates scheduling information that schedules a plurality of data transmissions to or from a user equipment (UE) on a first carrier having a first numerology. The scheduling entity then transmits the scheduling information to the UE on a second carrier having a second numerology different than (e.g., less than) the first numerology. The scheduling information is transmitted using control resources allocated based on slot indexes of a plurality of slots configured for communicating the data transmissions on the first carrier.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. A user equipment (UE) may separately encode lower priority uplink control information (UCI) and higher priority UCI, and multiplex the encoded lower priority UCI and the encoded higher priority UCI on the same physical uplink channel (e.g., a physical uplink control channel (PUCCH)). The UE may be configured with multiple coding rates, which the UE may select from based on a payload size associated with each of the lower priority UCI and the higher priority UCI. Alternatively, the UE may be configured with a separate set of coding rates for the lower priority UCI and a separate set of coding rates for the higher priority UCI. The UE may multiplex the lower priority UCI and the higher priority UCI by mapping to physical uplink channel resources based on an order (e.g., mapping higher priority UCI followed by mapping lower priority UCI).
