    Abstract: A grooving tool includes a spindle rotatable about a longitudinal axis thereof and having at least one coolant inlet port, a ramp portion, and a fluid flow path to the ramp portion; a tool bit moveably coupled to the ramped portion, the tool bit comprising one or more teeth and one or more coolant channels to supply coolant proximate the one or more teeth, the one or more coolant channels operatively connected to the fluid flow path; wherein movement of the tool bit along the ramp portion toward the inlet port causes the one or more teeth to be displaced outward from the longitudinal axis. The fluid flow path may include a longitudinal passage in the spindle disposed generally along the longitudinal axis. The coolant channels may be angled with respect to the teeth and dispense coolant supplied via the fluid flow path toward the teeth.

    Abstract: A fuse system includes a fuse holder having an outer surface; a pair of fuse clips mounted inside the fuse holder, the pair of fuse clips being recessed from the outer surface of the fuse holder a predetermined distance; an insulative fuse housing; a fuse element mounted within the insulative fuse housing; blade terminals electrically connected to the fuse element and extending from the fuse housing; and an insulative sleeve on each of the blade terminals, the insulative sleeves extending from the fuse housing and covering a portion of each of the respective blade terminals and leaving a remaining portion of the blade terminals exposed; wherein the exposed portions of the blade terminals are less than the predetermined distance so that when the blade terminals make an electrical contact with the fuse clips, the exposed portions of the blade terminals are within the fuse holder and only the insulative sleeves are exposed. The fuse system also includes a projection on one of the fuse clips and the blade terminals and a recess in another of the fuse clips and the blade terminals, wherein the recess is sized so as to receive the projection.

    Abstract: A tool for expanding a tube into engagement with a wall of a hole in a plate and simultaneously forming a flange on the end of the tube has a mandrel having a tapered distal portion. The mandrel receives for rotation and axial displacement a tubular cage. The cage carries expanding rolls, each of which is supported for rotation in a slot in a distal portion of the cage, is displaceable radially, is in rolling engagement with the tapered portion of the mandrel and the tube when the tool is in operation, and is skewed at a small angle to the mandrel axis so as to impart traction to the cage and the mandrel and draw them distally into the cage upon rotation of the mandrel. A forming roll is supported for rotation and for displacement radially with respect to the mandrel axis in an opening in the cage and has: at least one conical following surface that is in rolling engagement with the tapered portion of the mandrel; a conical expanding surface that is in rolling engagement with the tube; a forming surface immediately adjacent the expanding surface proximally that is in rolling engagement with the tube; and a conical thrust-receiving surface at a proximal end. Axial force is transmitted from the cage to the thrust-receiving surface by an annular two race axial thrust bearing, which is supported on and surrounds the cage proximally of the forming roll.

    Abstract: A lighting system includes an optic that has at least two reflective surfaces that are oriented such that they face each other. Further, the lighting system includes a plurality of light emitting diodes that are disposed adjacent one end of the optic. Furthermore, the lighting system includes a lightguide that is disposed adjacent an opposite end of the optic such that an edge of the lightguide is retained within and disposed between the at least two reflective surfaces of the optic. The at least two reflective surfaces of the optic reflect and guide light emitted by the plurality of light emitting diodes to the edge of the lightguide. The light then couples into the lightguide through the edge and is guided towards an opposing edge of the light guide. The light exits the lightguide through the opposing edge and/or major surfaces of the lightguide.
