摘要: A cable distribution system that includes a head end connected to a plurality of customer devices through a transmission network that includes a remote fiber node that converts digital data to analog data suitable for the plurality of customer devices. The remote fiber node includes a processor. The remote fiber node receives a software image containing (i) a hardware image, (ii) a primary boot loader, (iii) a kernel, (iv) a software dataplane for a dataplane, and (v) software applications for a control plane. Based upon the file name of the software image selectively using at least some of (i) a hardware image, (ii) a primary boot loader, (iii) a kernel, (iv) a software dataplane for a dataplane, and (v) software applications for a control plane, in resetting the remote physical device.

The network device includes a memory having instructions stored thereon, and a processor configured to execute the instructions to cause the network device: to acquire a main video and a plurality of video stream segments, wherein the plurality of video stream segments are generated by preprocessing a video bullet screen by a server, and the preprocessing comprises jointly dividing the video bullet screen in time and space so that the plurality of video stream segments continuously translate in space by frame with time, the area of the screen used for playing the plurality of video stream segments is divided into continuous N picture units in the horizontal direction, each picture unit is used for playing the corresponding video stream segments, and the time from the left edge of the first frame of the corresponding video stream segment entering the picture unit from the right side of the picture unit to the left edge of the kth frame leaving the picture unit from the left side of the picture unit is T; decoding the main video by a main decoder of the network device; decoding video stream segments corresponding to odd-numbered picture units by a first sub-decoder of the network device, and decoding video stream segments corresponding to even-numbered picture units by a second sub-decoder of the network device; and playing the main video and the plurality of video stream segments.

摘要: A system and method for workforce scheduling using dynamic capacity ranges are provided. A capacity model associates distances of locations within a service area from a depot with a series of appointment time windows such that appointment time windows having a relatively greater amount of available worker capacity are associated with a greater range of distances than appointment time windows having a relatively smaller amount of available worker capacity. After a distance from the depot to a location of an appointment to be scheduled is determined, appointment time window suggestions are automatically produced based on which appointment time windows as defined in the capacity model are associated with the location of the appointment to be scheduled. As capacity changes due to bookings, the capacity model is dynamically updated. A system and method for workforce routing, based at least in part on using dynamic capacity ranges, are also provided.

摘要: Exemplary embodiments are directed to an apparatus dedicated to controlling a specified multimedia device for viewing programming content. The apparatus has an input interface configured for capturing a fingerprint of a user. The apparatus also includes memory for storing a plurality of user identification files. Each user identification file including data associated with at least one reference fingerprint of a respective user. A processor compares the captured fingerprint with at least one reference fingerprint stored in memory, and generates a control signal based on a result of the comparison. The control signal can include user profile identifier associated with the captured fingerprint and command data for instructing the multimedia device to generate a customized or default user interface for the identified user to view or access programming content. The control signal is transmitted to a multimedia device.

摘要: The present disclosure provides a description of systems and methods for providing guidance to adjust settings of a router. A mobile device receives user input to aid in establishing a connection between a media storage device and a media player device via a network. The media storage device and the media player device are unable to discover one another via the network. The mobile device transmits, to a router providing the network, a request for current settings information of the router. In response, the mobile device receives, from the router, the current settings information of the router. The mobile device determines, from the current settings information of the router, whether one or more settings are preventing the media storage device and the media player device from discovering one another via the network. The mobile device then generates a window providing options for guidance to change settings of the router.

摘要: A method for transforming high dynamic range (HDR) video data into standard dynamic range (SDR) video data and encoding the SDR video data so that the HDR video data may be recovered at the decoder includes generating a tone map describing a transformation applied to the HDR video data to generate the SDR video data. The generated tone map describes the transformation as the multiplication of each HDR pixel in the HDR video data by a scalar to generate the SDR video data. The tone map is then modeled as a reshaping transfer function and the HDR video data is processed by the reshaping transfer function to generate the SDR video data. The reshaping transfer function is then inverted and described in a self-referential metadata structure. The SDR video data is then encoded including the metadata structure defining the inverse reshaping transfer function.

摘要: A system, method and computer readable media automatically highlights an unhealthy condition of a viewer. A device, e.g., set-top box, operatively connects to a network and a display. The set-top-box is adapted to output a program to a viewer watching the display. The set-top-box operatively com1ects through a wireless protocol to one or more wearable health monitoring devices that monitor one or more health readings associated with the viewer. The set-top-box outputs an alert to the viewer during the program if a health reading falls within a dangerous range. Advantageously, the alert is delivered through an EPG and may comprise pausing/stopping the program, and/or highlighting the alert on the display for the viewer's safety.

摘要: A system and method for authenticating an application that employs cryptographic keys and functions is provided with white box cryptography employed to secure the application, and to secure communications with the application. The white box includes a transformation of the application and the keys. A secure channel between the white box and a crypto token is used for communications. In some cases, the transformed keys can be employed in authenticating the white box to the crypto token. The presence of a valid crypto token can be periodically determined. In the presence of a valid crypto token, the white box can provide a verifiable message to a remote server. The remote server can verify the message and initiate a service.
