摘要: In a drive circuit for driving a liquid crystal display element with a memory property, electric charges accumulated in a power-supply smoothing capacitor at the subsequent stage of a booster circuit are collected effectively after electricity is supplied to the liquid crystal display element. The drive circuit for driving the liquid crystal display element with a memory property supplies a boosted voltage to the driver circuit by turning on a first switch circuit while the liquid crystal display element is being reset or while an image is being rendered, and causing electric charges accumulated in the power-supply smoothing capacitor to be discharged while collecting them into a second battery by turning on a second switch circuit during a period in which electric charges accumulated in the power-supply smoothing capacitor should be discharged.

摘要: A cross-connect apparatus and method where the apparatus includes an interface section which divides signals from a transmission line into multiple paths to provide the signals to cross-connect sections, and multiplexes signals provided from the cross-connect sections to send out the signals to the transmission line, the cross-connect sections cross-connects the signals from the interface section to output the signals to the interface section. The cross-connect apparatus includes a control section which determines a number of paths divided by the interface section and an operation mode of the cross-connect sections, according to a line capacity occupied by the signals from the transmission line and which controls the interface section and stops an operation of a cross-connect section which does not perform cross-connect processing.

摘要: An apparatus includes plural combinations of a clock supplier and a clock supply destination supplied with a clock from the clock supplier. The clock supply destination includes a return route through which the clock supply destination returns a clock to a corresponding clock supplier. The clock supplier includes a variable delay unit that adds a delay to the clock to be supplied to a corresponding clock supply destination; a comparison-reference-clock supply unit that supplies a comparison reference clock having the same phase as that of a comparison reference clock supplied from other clock supplier; a phase comparator that compares the phase of a return clock returned from a corresponding clock supply destination with that of the comparison reference clock; and a phase-difference control unit that controls the delay, so that the phases of the return clock and the comparison reference clock coincide with each other, based on the comparison result.

摘要: The invention has an object to provide an electronic paper file with high operating performance. The electronic paper file is assumed to comprises an electronic paper of an flexible display medium and a cover to which a plurality of electronic papers is attachable. In the invention, the first storage means stores display-data to be displayed on the electronic paper. The first display control means obtains from the first storage means the display-data corresponding to the desired page selected by the page selecting means and then display them on the electronic paper. Accordingly, even if the enormous pages of the electronic paper were not attached to the electronic paper file, the invention can display the whole of mass data such as an encyclopedia or theses data. Therefore, it is possible to improve the operating performance of the electronic paper file.

摘要: A transfer member includes a dyeing layer transfer member, which has a lubricating heat-resistant layer on the reverse surface of a first base material and laminated layers of a parting layer and a dyeing layer on the obverse surface, an ink transfer member, having a lubricating heat-resistant layer on the reverse surface of a second base material and the laminated layers of an adhesive layer and an ink layer, an intermediate member having a functional layer on a third base material, and an image-receptor. A thermal transfer printing method includes the steps of thermally transferring the dyeing layer onto the functional layer by setting a thermal head in contact with the lubricating heat-resistant layer of the dyeing layer transfer member, thermally transferring dye of the ink layer onto the dyeing layer that was transferred onto the functional layer in response to picture signals by setting the thermal head in contact with the lubricating heat-resistant layer of the ink transfer member, and thermally transferring the dyeing layer recorded with the dye onto the main surface of the image-receptor. Thus, pictorial images of high quality are formed on the image-receptor, and thermal transfer printing can be carried out repeatedly and stably.

摘要: A thermal printing apparatus includes an intermediate medium. A color developing layer transfer member includes a first base member and a color developing layer on a surface of the first base member. A dye layer transfer member includes a second base member and a dye layer on a surface of the second base member. The dye layer contains dye. At least a part of the color developing layer is transferred from the color developing layer transfer member onto the intermediate medium in response to at least one of heat and pressure. The dye is transferred from the dye layer of the dye layer transfer member onto the color developing layer on the intermediate medium to form a recorded picture on the color developing layer in response to both heat and pressure while the dye layer on the dye layer transfer member and the color developing layer on the intermediate medium are in contact with each other. The color developing layer with the recorded picture is transferred from the intermediate medium onto an image receptor. A releasing device is operative for implementing separation between the intermediate medium and one of the color developing layer transfer member and the dye layer transfer member. The releasing device includes a releasing blade and a belt support member associated with the releasing blade. The releasing blade engages one of the color developing layer transfer member and the dye layer transfer member. The belt support member supports the intermediate medium along one of a flat plane or an outwardly-projecting plane.

摘要: A logic integrated circuit comprises a logic circuit, an input-stage flip-flop connected to the input of the logic circuit and an output-stage flip-flop connected to the output of the logic circuit. Each of the input- and output-stage flip-flops is responsive to a clock pulse to change their output logic states depending on their input logic states, so that an output pulse generated by each of the flip-flops has a duration which is determined exclusively by the interval between successive clock pulses.
