摘要: An integrated circuit memory includes memory cells 2 is connected to a power supply Vdd via a power supply control circuit 4. The power supply control circuit includes a first gate 26 and a second gate 28. The first gate 26 is switched by a write assist circuit so as to be non-conductive when writing to the memory cell 2. The second gate 28 is conductive both when writing to the memory cell 2 and when not writing to the memory cell 2. Accordingly, when a write operation is made a relatively high resistance path is formed through the power supply control circuit 4 compared to when writing is not being performed. This increase in the resistance through the power supply control circuit 4 during write operations induces a dip in the virtual supply voltage provided at the supply output of the power supply control circuit 4 in a manner which assist writes to be made. If individual memory cells 2 tend to resist changes in their state more strongly, then they will tend to draw more current which will in turn result in a larger virtual supply voltage dip which will assist more strongly in encouraging those memory cells 2 to change state.

摘要: Aspects of the present invention are directed to the use of optical gain structures that include alternating layers of gain medium and transparent heat conductors in which the gain medium itself functions as a correction optic. The gain medium changes to an optimum or desired shape because of the thermal changes occurring as the materials of the optical gain structure(s) reach a desired optical output condition. At the desired optical output conditions, the gain medium conforms to a desired shape. The desired shape may be, for example, that of an optical surface of a transparent heat conductor. By designing the initial shape of the gain medium such that the physical contact with the transparent heat conductor is maximized at the desired optical output conditions, conductive heat transfer between the gain medium and heat conductor(s) is maximized at the desired optical output condition.

摘要: This invention relates to methods of preparing substrates that enhance the Raman signal of analytes in surface-enhanced Raman spectroscopy (SERS). The SERS-active substrate comprises an array of metal nanoparticles at least partially embedded in a template. The substrate's uniform and readily reproducible SERS-active properties with a wide range of analyte concentrations substantially enhance the power and utility of SERS. This invention also provides sensors, as well as Raman instruments, comprising the SERS-active substrates.

摘要: In one embodiment, an application integration system collects business application information and generates and stores certain business flow and state information for the application, its involved users and shared business content within the system. This automation process defines the collaboration models between the content, process and users involved in the collaboration project. The automation process uses specific information pertaining to the involved users and applications of the system, the process flows of the application program, and the shared content to automate the integration of the distributed computer applications by defining the integration flow as a process checkpoint flow consisting of numerous checkpoints through which the business content transitions. Users of the collaboration hub platform are provided with an interactive console within a graphical user interface presented on their respective computing devices. The displayed graphical user interface elements are generated based on the shared business content and process flows of the distributed applications comprising the integrated project.

摘要: An electrical connector is provided with a circuit board with interconnecting conductors respectively extending between spring contact termination locations and other termination locations. Sets of spring contact conductors are provided terminating at respective spring contact termination locations. Each of the spring contact conductors of the set of spring contact conductors has a plug contact zone and defines a spring contact conductive path from an associated plug contact zone to a respective spring contact termination location. The sets of spring contact conductors provide different conductive path lengths from an associated plug contact zone to a respective spring contact termination location.

摘要: An process of forming a chiral conducting polymer, e.g., polyaniline, is provided including reacting a monomer, e.g., an aniline monomer, in the presence of a chiral dopant acid to produce a first reaction mixture by addition of a solution including a first portion of an oxidizing agent, the first portion of oxidizing agent characterized as insufficient to allow complete reaction of the monomer, and further reacting the first reaction mixture in the presence of the chiral dopant acid by addition of a solution including a second portion of the oxidizing agent, the second portion of oxidizing agent characterized as insufficient to allow complete reaction of the monomer, and repeating the reaction by addition of further portions of the oxidizing agent until the monomer reaction is complete to produce a chiral conducting polymer, e.g., polyaniline. A preferred process includes addition of a catalyst during the reaction, the catalyst selected from among the group consisting of phenylene diamine, aniline oligomers and amino-capped aniline oligomers and metal salts. The processes of the present invention further provide a resultant polyaniline product having a chirality level defined by a molar ellipticity of from about 40×103 degree-cm2/decimole to about 700×103 degree-cm2/decimole. The processes of the present invention further provide a resultant polyaniline product having a nanofiber structure with a diameter of from about 30 nanometers to about 120 nanometers and from about 1 micron to about 5 microns in length.
