The noise removed by the neural network is compared to simulated noise that represents noise expected to be present in the data signal. The results of the comparison are used to train the neural network and improve its ability to remove noise from the data signal.

Abstract: A retrographic sensor includes a flexible transparent structure, a transparent elastomeric pad, and an at least partially reflective layer. The flexible transparent structure may be configured to elastically deform between multiple configurations. At least one light source emits light into the transparent structure. The flexible transparent structure may include one or more markers that are illuminated by the at least one light source. The retrographic sensor may also include a photosensitive detector configured to image the flexible transparent structure and one or more markers. A processor may determine a configuration of the flexible transparent structure based at least in part on an image from the one or more markers.

Abstract: Systems, computer-implemented methods, and computer program products to facilitate reducing error propagation when combining generative aligners and transition-based aligners are provided. According to an embodiment, a system can comprise a processor that executed components stored in memory. The computer executable components comprise a generative alignment component, an error propagation component, a discriminative parser, and a stochastic oracle policy component. The error propagation component can compute a posterior distribution over one or more hard alignments of parts given a pair of the generative alignment component. The discriminative parser can be trained via the stochastic oracle policy component to reduce error propagation when combining the generative alignment component with the discriminative parser.

Abstract: Real-time, point-to-point, on-demand ride dispatching system. The system provides for optimal operation including a fleet dimensioning module for determining an optimal number of vehicles in a fleet needed to serve a collection of trip requests, and a vehicle dispatching module for dispatching the fleet of vehicles to serve a selected number of trip requests. Abstract: Dynamically reconfigurable architectures for quantum information and simulation are provided. A plurality of neutral atoms is provided. Each neutral atom is disposed in a corresponding optical trap. Each of the plurality of neutral atoms is prepared in a mF=0 clock state. A pair of neutral atoms of the plurality of neutral atoms is entangled by directing a laser pulse thereto. The laser pulse is configured to transition the pair of neutral atoms through a Rydberg state. The optical trap corresponding to at least one neutral atom of the pair is adiabatically moved, thereby moving one atom of the pair relative to the other atom of the pair without destroying entanglement of the pair.

Abstract: Fermions are the building blocks of matter. Here, we disclose a robust quantum register composed of hundreds of fermionic atom pairs trapped in an optical lattice. With each fermion pair forming a spin-singlet, the qubit is realized as a set of near-degenerate, symmetry-protected two-particle wavefunctions describing common and relative motion. Degeneracy is lifted by the atomic recoil energy, which depends on mass and lattice wavelength, thereby rendering two-fermion motional qubits insensitive to noise of the confining potential. The quantum coherence can last longer than ten seconds. Universal control is provided by modulating interactions between the atoms. Via state-dependent, coherent conversion of free atom pairs into tightly bound molecules, we tune the speed of motional entanglement over three orders of magnitude, yielding 104 Ramsey oscillations within the coherence time. For site-resolved motional state readout, pairs are coherently split into their constituent fermions via a double-well, creating entangled Bell pairs.
