    摘要: A flexible surgery access and instrument management system includes a base unit and an insertion unit. The base unit provides a platform having a connection mechanism to which the insertion unit is attached. The insertion unit includes an elongated conduit having one or more tubes providing instrument passages, and a connection mechanism adapted to selectively couple with the mating connection mechanism provided on the base unit. The elongated conduit of the insertion unit is preferably steerable. One or more flexible instruments may be inserted through the tubes of the elongated conduit, with the proximal ends of the instruments being attached to the base unit such that the user is able to control and manipulate the instruments.

The apparatus includes a motor having a first shaft, the motor for rotating the first shaft; a first magnetic element coupled to the first shaft such that rotation of the first shaft causes rotation of the first magnetic element; a second magnetic element coupled to a second shaft, and magnetically coupled to the first magnetic element such that rotation of the first magnetic element causes rotation of the second magnetic element; an input section for receiving a fluid; an output section for outputting the fluid; a channel having first and second openings; and an impeller coupled to the second magnetic element such that rotation of the second magnetic element causes rotation of the impeller, thereby the fluid flows in the input section and out the output section. The flow of the fluid across the second opening of the channel encourages another fluid to flow in the first opening, through the channel, and out the second opening.

    摘要: A method of forming a wellbore includes providing a drilling assembly comprising one or more lengths of casing and an axially retracting assembly having a first tubular; a second tubular at least partially disposed in the first tubular and axially fixed thereto; and a support member disposed in the second tubular and movable from a first axial position to a second axial position relative to the second tubular, wherein, in the first axial position, the support member maintains the second tubular axially fixed to the first tubular, and in the second axial position, allows the second tubular to move relative to the first tubular; and an earth removal member disposed below the axially retracting assembly. The method also includes rotating the earth removal member to form the wellbore; moving the support member to the second axial position; and reducing a length of the axially retracting assembly.
