摘要： There is provided a process for the direct partial oxidation of methane with oxygen, whereby organic compounds comprising higher hydrocarbons including C.sub.5 + liquid hydrocarbons are produced. The catalyst used in this reaction may be a ZSM-5 catalyst. The process involves the use of an initial cofeed, such as propane, in admixture with the methane and oxygen to induce the formation of liquid hydrocarbons. As the reaction progresses, the flow of cofeed is shut off, and liquid hydrocarbons continue to be produced.

摘要： A method for producing a mixture of ethylene and carbon monoxide by contacting ethane and an oxygen source at a temperature of at least 500° C. to produce ethylene and carbon monoxide. A method for producing an alkyl propionate by steps of: (a) contacting ethane and an oxygen source at a temperature of at least 500° C. to produce ethylene; (b) contacting an alcohol, ethylene and carbon monoxide with an ethylene carbonylation catalyst to produce the alkyl propionate; and (c) separating the alkyl propionate from byproducts and starting materials. The method further comprises condensing the alkyl propionate with formaldehyde to produce an alkyl methacrylate.

摘要： A process for hydrocracking heavy hydrocarbon feeds using a catalyst composition containing a hydrogenation/dehydrogenation component, such as a noble metal, and an acidic solid component including a Group IVB metal oxide modified with an oxyanion of a Group VIB metal. The hydrocracking product has high isoparaffin to normal paraffin ratios and with minimal ethane and methane byproducts at high conversions. The hydrocracking step is useful in processes for producing high quality lubricating oil basestocks, along with naphtha and distillate products.
