摘要: Embodiments of the present invention provide a method, computer program product, and a computer system for utilizing variable strength ties to dynamically interact with objects in an environment. According to one embodiment, in an environment containing one or more controllable objects and a wearable device with at least one sensor and a variable strength tie projector, a first predetermined gesture is received from a user. Responsive to receiving the first predetermined gesture from the user, a variable strength tie is generated and directed at a first controllable object. Responsive to detecting a user movement by the at least one sensor, the first controllable object is moved proportional to the detected user movement.

摘要: An original advertisement is transformed at a first content viewing device into a transferrable incentivized deferred advertisement that itself includes as added encoded data elements a configured incentive, a configured incentive time period within which to obtain the configured incentive, and a reporting instruction that causes an alternative content viewing device to report advertisement viewing back to the first content viewing device. The transferrable incentivized deferred advertisement, that includes the added encoded data elements, is transferred to the alternative content viewing device.

摘要: Approaches presented herein enable tracking a physical object with a holographic projection, and, more specifically, enhancing a view of an object by tracking the object with a 3-D holographic projection. A holographic object tracking projection system receives, from a sensor, a feed of an area containing a physical object and locates a position of the physical object in the area based on the feed. The system creates a visible holographic object to mark the physical object, and projects the holographic object, using a holographic projector, at the position of the physical object. The holographic object can be a shape that surrounds the physical object in order to increase a visibility of the physical object. The physical object may move, and, as the physical object moves, the holographic object tracking projection system tracks this movement and adjusts the holographic object to match the movement of the physical object.

摘要: Systems and methods for visualization and control of application interactions are disclosed. An approach includes receiving a selection of a primary application, retrieving information regarding a relationship between the selected primary application and at least one of another application and a computer device resource, and calculating a thickness value for the relationship, wherein the thickness value represents at least one parameter of interest to a user. The approach includes displaying icons representing the selected primary application and the other application(s) and computer device resource(s), and displaying at least one relationship line between the selected primary application and the other application(s)/computer device resource(s), wherein the at least one relationship line has a line weight based on the thickness value.

摘要: A method of processing audio through devices connected in a network. The devices include at least a device of a first user and at least one of the devices is a device of another user. The devices comprising at least an audio sensor for detecting audio from the other user, and the device of the first user comprising a processor coupled to at least a speaker for outputting audio. The device of the first user monitors audio from at least one audio sensor on a device of another user for preferences selected by the first user. When the device of the first user detects a preference within the audio, the device of the first user sends a notification to the first user regarding preference detected; and based on an input from the first user, plays the audio for the first user through the speaker.

摘要: An indication of a call from a first device to a second device is received. The indication includes making the call by a first user using the first device to a second user using the second device. User preferences of the second user receiving the call using the second device is determined. A mode based on the user preferences of the second user is determined. Responsive to determining the mode, a question to transmit to the first device is determined. The question is transmitted to the first device. A response to the question from the first device is received. Responsive to receiving a response to the question from the first device, an action the second device will take is determined based on the received response from the first device.

摘要: Approaches described herein provide coordination of audio and/or video recording to minimize any gaps in coverage. In one approach, users of a distributed set of recording devices are invited to join a community with other similar users via a networked application in a loosely collaborative way. The recording coordination application substantially continuously monitors the state of the recording activities and coordinates the community of users to reduce any gaps in coverage.

摘要: An approach is provided to provide a high availability (HA) cloud environment. In the approach, an active cloud environment is established in one cloud computing environment using a primary set of resources and a passive cloud environment is established in another cloud computing environment, with the passive cloud environment using fewer resources than are used by the active cloud environment. A workload is serviced by the active cloud environment. While servicing the workload, cloud commands are processed that alter the primary set of resources and the commands are stored in a queue. When a failure of the active cloud environment occurs, the workload is serviced by the passive cloud environment in the second cloud computing environment and the cloud commands stored in the queue are used to alter the resources used by the passive cloud environment.

摘要: An approach is provided for adjusting a characteristic of a data stream. A rate of data usage provided by one or more data streams within a time period that has not ended is determined. An amount of time remaining in the time period is determined. Based at least in part on the amount of time remaining in the time period and the rate of data usage, an expected amount of data usage within the entire time period is determined. Whether the expected amount of data usage exceeds a limit on data usage within the entire time period is determined. If the expected amount of data usage exceeds the limit, the characteristic of the data stream is adjusted so that actual data usage within the entire time period does not exceed the limit. The actual data usage is based in part on the adjusted characteristic.
