摘要: The invention discloses Physical Cell Identity (PCI) allocation in a cellular network. Radii of an inner boundary circle of a first and second cell are each estimated according to a cell distance relation model. Signal strengths within the inner boundary circles of the first and second cells are each greater than a first threshold. Then radii of an outer boundary circle of the first and second cell are each estimated according to the cell distance relation model. The signal strengths within the outer boundary circles of the first and second cells are each greater than a second threshold, where the second threshold is lower than the first threshold. The second cell is allocated a PCI based on a distance relation between the first cell and the second cell.

摘要: This invention provides an isolated stem cell that has been modified to provide, enhance or contain the functional characteristics of the sarcoplasmic reticulum (SR). The isolated stem cells are modified in one or more of the following manners: by expressing a calcium channel protein; by expressing a calcium pump protein such as the sarcro/endoplasmic reticulum Ca2+-ATPase (SERCA) protein; by inhibiting or downregulating expression of the Na+/Ca+ exchanger (NCX) protein; by expressing a calcium handling protein; by expressing a transverse (t-tubule; and/or by expressing a transverse (t-tubule biogenic protein. After the cell has been modified, it may be expanded to a substantially homogenous population of these cells or alternatively, differentiated to a more mature cell type. Compositions containing these cells and population of cells are also provided by this invention. The cells and compositions can he used to regenerate cardiac tissue, improve cardiac function, restore action potential of cardiac tissue; and treat or prevent cardiac malfunction. These methods can be achieved by administering an effective amount of a cell or population of cells or tissue of this invention to a host in need thereof. The cells and population of cells can be used diagnostically to screen drug or other therapeutic candidates.

摘要: Word correlations are estimated using a content-based method, which uses visual features of image representations of the words. The image representations of the subject words may be generated by retrieving images from data sources (such as the Internet) using image search with the subject words as query words. One aspect of the techniques is based on calculating the visual distance or visual similarity between the sets of retrieved images corresponding to each query word. The other is based on calculating the visual consistence among the set of the retrieved images corresponding to a conjunctive query word. The combination of the content-based method and a text-based method may produce even better result.

摘要: An ESD device includes a first and second well regions disposed in a semiconductor substrate. The first well region comprises a plurality of N wells spaced at a predetermined length. A heavily doped P+ region and a heavily doped N+ region are disposed in each of the N wells. The heavily doped N+ region is coupled to Vdd and a heavily doped P+ region in an N well is electrically coupled to the heavily doped N+ region in an adjacent N well. The second well region comprises a P well abutting an N well. A heavily doped P+ region and a heavily doped N+ region are disposed in the P well. The heavily doped N+ region in the P well is electrically coupled to the heavily doped P+ region of the adjacent N well in common with an I/O circuit, and the heavily doped P+ region is coupled to Vss.
