    摘要: A system for providing purified drinking water for populations and persons having minimal access to modern water purification systems and therefore rely on water sources which contain microorganisms known to cause illness and death to large segments of such populations. Membranes are known which are pervious to water and impervious to the contaminants in such drinking water. The invention provides for gravity flow passage of water from the dirty (contaminated) water containment area to a clean (purified) water containment area and a filter including such a membrane whereby the flow of water has to penetrate through the membrane and in the process filters out the illness-producing microorganisms. The invention enables the use of commonly available jugs or jars requiring only a gravity flow passage between the jugs or jars and the filter contained in the passage.

    摘要: A system and method is provided for vectorizing misaligned references in compiled code for SIMD architectures that support only aligned loads and stores. In the framework presented herein, a loop is first simdized as if the memory unit imposes no alignment constraints. The compiler then inserts data reorganization operations to satisfy the actual alignment requirement of the hardware. Finally, the code generation algorithm generates SIMD codes based on the data reorganization graph, addressing realistic issues such as runtime alignments, unknown loop bounds, residue iteration counts, and multiple statements with arbitrary alignment combinations. Beyond generating a valid simdization, a preferred embodiment further improves the quality of the generated codes. Four stream-shift placement policies are disclosed, which minimize the number of data reorganization generated by the alignment handling.

The peptide-based hair conditioners and hair colorants are comprised of a hair-binding peptide coupled to a hair conditioning agent or a coloring agent, respectively. The peptide-based skin conditioners and skin colorants are comprised of a skin-binding peptide coupled to a skin conditioning agent or a colorant, respectively. The peptide-based nail colorants are comprised of a nail-binding peptide coupled to a coloring agent. The peptide-based oral care reagents are comprised of an oral cavity surface-binding peptide coupled to an oral care benefit agent. In all these compositions, the peptide may be directly coupled to the active agent or the coupling may be via a spacer. Personal care compositions containing these peptide-based body surface reagents are also described.
