    摘要: An image generating apparatus displays a highly expressive display of a polyhedron representing an object made from a pliable material using only a very small computational load. The image generating device displays images of polyhedrons located in a virtual space and includes a mass point setting circuit setting mass points across an entire surface of a polyhedron, an influential force setting circuit setting influential forces acting on the mass points, a mass point position calculating circuit calculating the positional coordinates of the mass points on the basis of the influential forces set by the influential force setting circuit; and a figure generating circuit generating a figure of the polyhedron on the basis of the positional coordinates for the mass points calculated by said mass point position calculating circuit. Since the positional coordinates of mass points are calculated on the basis of influential forces which simulate the forces acting on a real planar object, it is possible to generate a figure of a polyhedron which moves like a real, pliable planar object.

    摘要: The invention relates to the removal of detrimental metal ions represented by Cu ion from a hydrofluoric acid solution for use in the manufacturing of semiconductor devices to clean silicon wafer surfaces. The acid solution is brought into contact with silicon granules which are used for the adsorption of the detrimental metal ions. To enhance the adsorption power and the rate of adsorption, the silicon granules are treated in advance to deposit a metal which is lower in ionization tendency than silicon on the surface of each silicon granule so as to partly cover the silicon granule surface by the deposited metal. Particularly Au or Ag is suitable as the metal deposited on the silicon granules.

    摘要: A rotary piston engine has a housing structure which includes a peripheral wall, having a trochoidal inner surface, and end walls secured to the peripheral wall with the latter situated therebetween. A rotor, having each end face formed with at least one set of side seal grooves and at least one oil seal groove, is housed within the housing structure for planetary motion. For avoiding leakage of blowby gas from any one of working chambers defined between the rotor flanks and the trochoidal inner surface into the inside of an oil seal in the oil seal groove past side seals in the side seal grooves, an annular gas groove is formed on at least one end face of the rotor. This annular gas groove is communicated to the oil seal groove by means of a passage formed in a partition wall separating the gas groove from the oil seal groove. The blowby gas collected in the gas groove can be recovered in the intake chamber through an intake port, provided in eitheror both of the end walls, during the planetary motion of the rotor.
